We ate dinner on Saturday night after our train ride. The food was better than we expected for a roadside, tourist spot. Had trout with a huge baked potato, family had burger (good enough), taco salad (big and no complaints) and chicken strips with fries (no complaints). I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at the diner, but... More

When a menu is loaded with the words famous or "secret sauce" it gives me great worry. Ham and cheese sandwich should be safe. Nope. Oversized bun that was tough without being a brioche bun. Cheese had melted awat. Whatever else that was added turned the sandwich into a soggy mess and the plate had a cup full of liquid.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't quite enjoy your food, Ann. When it comes down to it, we want to serve well-prepared dishes, but if there's ever too much of something, please don't hesitate to let our waitstaff know. We'd be happy to try to make things right in the moment. I hope we'll get a chance in the... More

The waitress was very polite, and busy at this time. She could have used more help. The food was ok, we had a hamburger and fries, and a patty melt with fries. Cost was a bit more than what we thought it was worth. But there are not very many places to eat in Elbe. The Polar Express was a... More

The food was just OK, but the place is great. Waitress was a trip. Not find dining - just a diner. manage your expectations and you'll be fine

We went here mainly because we had drove past so many times and finally said what the heck. Our kids really looked forward to being in the old trains. There is some neat history but the food is pretty average diner fare. If you like the unique or your kids really are eyeing the place go ahead, there was nothing... More

We stopped here for lunch on our way back from Mount Rainier and were a little underwhelmed. The smoked fried chicken was way too heavily breaded and a little greasy. Once I removed all the breading the chicken had a very nice flavor. My wife's sandwich was a little greasy. The service was friendly and prompt.

Having dinner at the old railroad car was fun! The food was also good. The plate we had was enough food for the two of us. Our friends also shared their plate. We thought the food was good.

My wife had the fish and chips and she stated it was very good. The cole slaw served with it was a bit dry. The burger I had was below average. It even had a little water drain out when I tipped it up. The fries were not very hot. The big rub was expected in this tourist venue. The... More

Though we’re glad you were able to stop in for a bite while you were in town, I’m disappointed to see you weren’t blown away. I’m happy to hear pieces of your meal impressed, like the fish and chips, but we want everything to be up to par -- so, I appreciate the feedback on that front. I’m confident there’s... More

We stopped here for lunch and didn't like a thing we ordered. I had the ribs and I really disliked the sauce. They were full of fat and hardly any meat. The beans were good but I am pretty sure they came from a can. The corn was over cooked. My daughter had the potato soup and it also tasted... More

Ok, two railway coaches stuck together. But you want more than that from a restaurant. The were burnt. Really burnt. The Buffalo burger was actually quite good to be fair. Over priced for the quality. Ale sure you sit in the front (roadside) carriage and not the carriage at the back facing towards the railroad as it is not very... More
