The ONLY place on Orcas Island Eastsound that opens at 7 am and feeds the locals, and tourists in the know, so our day can begin early. Good breakfast and baked goods. Try the yogurt and granola cup with coffee to die for.

I spent 5 days in Eastsound, and tried a few of the coffee shops in town. My first day there was a Sunday, and I needed coffee! Left my hotel room about 7 am (a 2 hour time change from home, so I woke up real early) in search of coffee and breakfast. Beware: NOTHING in Eastsound opens before 8am.... More

Stopped by for lunch recently and was happy with my sandwich. The coffee and cookie were really the stars of the meal for me. Good service. Good people watching.

The only place in town (that we know of) that has not only wonderful baked goods, great coffee drinks and cozy seating. The locals seem to like it as well as us tourists. The baristas are very friendly, as is the chef, who takes great pride in his product (deservedly so).

Food was okay and service was poor. We just wanted some spoons and were made to feel like we were causing a huge problem. Go up the road a couple blocks and eat at Brown Bear instead. It's much better and the staff much friendlier.

We grabbed a quick sandwich on a Sunday afternoon about about a half an hour before the listed closing time. The girl who took our order was impatient and gave me the impression we were an imposition.

When we visit Orcas Island, we spend the early hours each day here with a cup of coffee for my husband and some Harmony Chai for me, along with some lovely pastry. For me, it's got to be gluten-free and I can find a selection here! Oh ... Happy
