My wife and I went on vacation to Seattle. We went so Wally's on the first night and WOW!. The food was amazing, the customer service was outstanding and the beer was cold. We had the clam chowder it was simply off the charts fresh and good. Matter of fact I would say is just as good if not better... More

We stayed in Des Moines on a family vacation prior to a cruise. We were looking for a seafood restaurant and this was within walking distance to our hotel. We got there early on Saturday night and there was already a long wait. We are so glad that we waited! The halibut that I had was the best that I... More

Went to restaurant referred by owner of quilt shop in town. The clam chowder was excellent. All items are fresh and all fish is fresh caught not farm raised or previously frozen. I am not a seafood eater so I enjoyed chicken strips. French fried potatoes are fresh not frozen. Atmosphere is great.

I was in Seattle for business and in the mood for some seafood. I figured you can't go wrong with a chowder house and headed over there. The food was AWESOME! I had a cup of white clam chowder (probably the best I've had outside of Boston). Their tap is kept at a cool 33 degrees and you can taste... More

I thought I could eat a lot. So when they had an "all you can eat prawns" special, I was all in. The prawns were so huge, that I gave in after 14. Yes, only 14. And every single one was delicious. They had to make it even tougher by starting me off by decadent chowder. The flavor here was... More

My parents who live in Des Moines, always recommend Wally's but every time around dinner you can see a line out the door. This just made me want to try it even more! Today I had a longer than usual lunch break so I drove up from Federal Way to have lunch with my parents. They ordered the Halibut fish... More

Had dinner here 2x while in the area on business. Great chowder and also some of the freshest Halibut-(Almond crusted) I've had. Great bartenders and good beer.

This place was perfect. Delicious food. We shared a shrimp cocktail yum (great presentation), best chowder we've ever had, fried halibut and fries also good. Drinks very reasonably priced. My fiance had a margarita and I a bloody mary. I'm just sad I don't have this restaurant in my hometown. If we ever pass through again, we will be back.

We went here while staying in the area after our cruise. We had to wait to be seated but not long. The chowder was excellent. The fish and chips were ok but could have been crispier. I will go back just for the chowder when we are in Seattle again.
