Best Mexican food I've had since I was traveling through Baja California on a mission trip. Small place, casual Mexican cafe atmosphere, very busy--We waited for about 5 min for a table on a Monday evening, absolutely worth it. Tortillas were fantastic. Staff is great. Magic happening in the kitchen. I had the chile Colorado and it was amazing, and... More

Family owned, very authentic food, good location. They tend to get very busy because of great food. Kid friendly and wheel chairs should fit through doors. ( No stairs)

Don't expect chips and salsa, there won't be any. What you will get is authentic delicious Mexican food. Every meal I have had there has been delicious!

This place has great authentic Mexican food. The history of the owner is on the menu, it tells you about where she is from, her history and the recipes came from her family. And they don't serve chips and salsa.

The food was authentic but rather bland. Had the house special couldn't set any seasoning but the pork was well cooked with good texture. Tortillas were fresh made and very good. No chips they don't serve them. Service was fast and friendly.

A crew of East Coasters driving from Portland to Seattle asked where to stop and we got the tip to try La Tarasca. Wow! What a great tip. I concur with everything that has been said in the other reviews. Great, authentic food - no frills. We all took the waitresses recommendation and had the pork and chile guajillo and... More

The fresh homemade food at La Tarasca is fantastic!! Hands down the BEST mexican food I've ever had, and I've had mexican food in Texas, Ca, and Mexico! My favorite dish is the adabado tacos. Made with shredded pork in a mild but very flavorful almost BBQ like flavor, these gems shine in a delicious fresh tortilla. If you want... More

We have eaten dinner here several times, and love the food each time. They serve a limited number of dishes, all based on recipes from the state of Michoacan, Mexico. Fantastic pork carnitas, Chile verde, tacos bistek and mole. No chips, no margaritas. They do serve authentic pickled carrots and beer.

Thank Bill T
