Ok, I’ll admit bias in that out granddaughter works here, but the shakes really are good. Right now indoor dining is prohibited, but drive thru and walk up windows are available. Plenty of good fast food to choose from.
The burgers are decent, but nothing special. The shakes are really good, but that is the main highlight.
The last time I was there I called in my order and still waited over 30 minutes, including watching multiple people order after me and receive their...order before me.More
Food is average greasy spoon food. The staff wouldn't let my 6 year old son use the public restroom, but they would let us buy and eat their food. My son had an accident even though I was pleading with the owner to let him...use the public restroom. She simply shrugged her shoulders and said that she wouldn't open the bathroom due to the Covid virus.More
I've been going to Top Burger since I was very young. Over the years some things have changed, others have stayed the same.
The good. The fries are fresh, nicely seasoned, and come in decent sized quantities. My boyfriend and I usually share a small...fry. The burgers are well cooked and toppings are fresh. The chicken nuggets and sauces are great. The prices are comparable to burger joints like Red Robin and even cheaper for certain items. The staff has typically been very friendly.
The bad. The fish from the fish and chips is decent. It's great with tartar sauce but take that way and it's quite bland. Just make sure not to skip the tartar sauce if ordered. The aesthetic isn't anything too amazing. It loosely resembles a 1950's style diner.
Overall, it's a diner worth visiting.More
Good variety of toppings, burgers well prepared. Huge servings of fries. Two can easily share the medium. Good selection of ice cream and other foods and shakes often found in a drive-in. Can eat in or drive through. A bit pricey compared to other burger...restaurants.More
There isn't much to say about Top Burger's atmosphere that isn't comparable to any other milkshake and burgers diner you've been in, past or present. Decorated with laminated floors, pictures of classic cars, and nostalgic throwback design. You get the feeling it's a place that...hasn't changed all that much since it opened. But a number of things stand out in this surprise of a small town eatery. Milkshakes are delicious, if not pretty expensive. Burgers taste fresh, quality, and have more flavor than I'm used to experiencing, saving for once in a blue moon. The way the French fries are cooked, shaped, and seasoned, are all extraordinary and should never be changed. The sodas weren't mixed as well as some places manage, but not to the point that it was unforgivable. The staff are young, enthusiastic and friendly. Something that is lacking in most of today's establishments. It does have a nice friendly, neighborhood feel to it. Its windows face a neighborhood park and are nicely shaded during unseasonably warm days. The charm of this place is undeniable. I will return. Though it isn't perfect, it's as close as it needs to be.More
Thought it was great to be able to order over the phone, and when I got there my order was ready--terrific! Got home and had nothing but bland food. They offered dipping sauces for the overdone tots and soggy onion rings but it was still...disappointing. Even the burgers were quite flavorless. Sadly I doubt we will be going back.More
You can get bigger, fancier burgers elsewhere in Camas. But, Top Burger retains the old malt shop atmosphere from the 50's and 60's. Burgerville uses the theme of Top Burger's digs, but this place is more like I remember the old hamburger places. It's still...a favorite with the school kids, and a lot of them have worked there. They have lots of hamburger variations, milk shakes, malts, other sides, and provide pretty good customer service. A plain old Top Burger is good enough for me when visiting Camas. I hope this place never closes.More
I mentioned that I planned to go to Lacamas lake to walk and hike. A co-worker who knew the area better than me named a few place I might like to check out. Top Burger was a place he mentioned as it is on 500...south of where I would be.
So I drove down there for a bite to eat. Ordered a Top Burger with cheese, Med Pepsi, and Med fries. I was surprised how salty the fries were. But at least I had enough Pepsi just o covered the extra saltiness. I almost wished I had ordered a large Pepsi. Or not ordered the fries.
So be warned. The fries are too salty-- avoid them.
Looked like a younger crowd frequents this drive in.More
