My husband and I wanted sushi so bad. We haven’t eaten out in months. Our restaurant is as great as always. We went early before a dinner rush. Used all safety precautions. Personally I always have my mask on when i go out unless I...am eating or drinking something. Everyone wore their masks and correctly, no one was close together, so while I did feel safe, i still did my thing with constant mask wearing. The sushi was perfect as ALWAYS, just the perfect temperature, very fresh. Drinks are always good, server was great. Always fantastic...will be back...we have loved this restaurant but we have never tried the hibachi, don’t plan to but my friend loves it.More

Just moved to the Burlington area and I was dying for sushi. Didn't feel as safe just yet to eat in that type of environment but decided to get a take out. The portions were plentiful and the staff was pretty nice and accommodating and...it seemed like a pretty relaxing atmosphere considering it's during such a bad time due to the pandemic, but will definitely be back.More

OK, bear with me while I explain the context. I am a critical care medical professional on assignment to a local hospital for COVID care. COVID isn't a joke and I can tell you that; but Sakura is due to be a new "nexus" of...cases, I guarantee. Governor Inslee had given Washingtonians until Friday to start wearing masks in all social and group occasions where social distancing was impossible, and it was Wednesday afternoon. At Sakura, where the 'sushi line' was running full tilt and although tables were properly spaced, people were coming in between the tables - wa-ay too close - to get plates of it. And while all the servers were wearing masks, only two customers - myself and an elderly lady with a daughter(?) who wasn't - out of a dozen or 15 even had a mask. The chef was wearing his, but only over his mouth, improperly as possible. Let me break this down for you, the chef was breathing on virtually ALL the sushi being made! i spoke to my server to comment about the health issues but they had no control. So would you be happy if he had just used the restroom and didn't wash his hands? Well, this is worse. i made the best of it and ordered a Mack'n'Jack ale, some miso soup and the "Kobe" sashimi platter. The beer is good with more flavor than the Japanese choices; the miso was good and well seasoned but light on seaweed and tofu; the Kobe was excellent. I ate, using my mask appropriately, paid and left after a couple of pictures. So the first picture is the sashimi - yum. The second is the chef with his nose out. After I read the earlier review noting the servers had to split their tips with management and this plague-friendly visit of mine, I had a quandry. I wanted to give the food and servers a 5-star, I needed to give the place and the health issues a 1-star. Health issues won out. DON'T GO HERE until they start to observe - and you, too, sushi chef !- proper health concerns and stop taking the servers' tips. Honestly, who cares whether they survive the COVID crisis if they can't do any better than this? I am furious! You should be too.More

We had a late lunch around 1:30 and the sushi bar was completely packed but plenty of tables. I had a bento box that was decent, I included a picture.

It has taken me a year to decide if I would post this review or not.... I recently had a 3rd confirmation so I can't NOT share. Servers only receive a little over half of their tip money. I can't support this business. Food is...3 to 4 star.More

Something was off tonight, the sushi was a too cold. We ordered drinks, I got the ginger drop but this one didn’t have any ginger pieces in it. I ordered the avocado roll and the sake (salmon). My husband had the maguro (tuna) and the...chicken katsu (14.00). We were both full. Bill was $49.10. I love this place and have since it opened. I will continue to go here but tonight they were just not up to the standard they usually have.More

We went twice...once for lunch (less expensive) and once for dinner (bigger servings). My family had a blast interacting with the chef. The food was good and the chef was able to work with one of the group who had some food in tolerances. It...got a little loud at dinner time, but it was a festive fun noise. we will definitely be going back.More

Too much SALT---again! Why so much darn SALT in everything? The Navigator loves Yakisoba---any ol' kind of Yakisoba. He just LOVES it! This time he ordered Shrimp Yakisoba and devoured it! I was less enthusiastic---the veggie roll I ordered was passable. Only a bottle of...soy-sauce was all I had to dip it into. The Prawn & Veggie Tempura platter was too greasy. I forgot how greasy some tempura gets. It sat in my stomach like a rock. I should have ordered the veggie yakisoba, but I was afraid it contained something I am allergic to. And, of course it was full of SALT! That I knew!!! But the best part of our evening meal, was meeting a favorite public service provider from the community that we know, who was dining with his family. THAT encounter was the highlight of our evening meal.More

Ordered here for lunch and it was really good. The portions even for lunch are big and was able to have enough food leftover for lunch the next day. Will definitely go back to try other food options.
