This was the first time this restaurant has let me down. First they had no ginger vodka so they could not make my drink. I noticed one of the boys behind the sushi counter was eating and did not wash his hands before making sushi....The sushi fish was way too cold and the avocado was not ripe. I have never given this restaurant less then 5 stars since they opened but they seem to have gone down hill. Waitress was nice though. Need to find a new sushi restaurant to try if we can find one where we live. We drive 30 minutes to this one. $61.36 for lunch plus tip for 2 people.More

We have been going here for years. We love this place. They have great tasting food. Great drinks. Great service. Prices are reasonable. The only thing I wish would be better at is mask wearing. Most servers are good except one. Some sushi chefs don’t...seem to wear a mask, some do. Not sure about the kitchen. I will continue to go here as I really do love this place. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the area.More

Prep chef was not wearing a mask. Waitress has mask under her nose. I watched her sneeze in to her hand! Ugh! Feet stuck to floor. No one was wiping the menus. Health department needs to shut this place down.I had to walk out.

Had lunch 10/6/21; excellent selection of sushi. The fish was very fresh, and sushi well made. Prices were very reasonable. The service was excellent! I’ll definitely will go there again.

I love this restaurant and have been going there since they opened. THEY ARE NOT PRACTICING COVID RULES! SUSHI CHEFS ARE NOT WEARING MASKS! I do not know about the kitchen chefs. Waitresses ARE practicing covid rules. I hope this review will get them to...put on their masks for you. Very crowded last night. Cooked food came out about 25 minutes before sushi order but I understand about the wait. Overall a good experience but was not feeling comfortable about my food. On the way out a customer was sitting in the waiting area with no mask on. They need to work on masking badly.More

We enjoyed the sushi & teriyaki chicken. Portions were generous and the teriyaki chicken was moist, sliced breast chicken and the teriyaki sauce was not too sweet. We had a delicious meal!!!

I was staying at the hotel directly across from Sakura, so it made sense to call there to order sushi for takeout. The sushi was delicious, The staff was friendly and helpful. They were quite busy, but managed to have my order ready at the...promised time. I recommend them for take out. The dining room was a bit too crowded for me to choose dining inside during this time of high COVID numbers.More

Love going to Sakura's when ever I am in Burlington. I schedule my shopping and appointments around having lunch there between 12 and 3. Great service, great sushi! Only problem is we eat too much! Ha, ha! So good!

My husband and I wanted sushi so bad. We haven’t eaten out in months. Our restaurant is as great as always. We went early before a dinner rush. Used all safety precautions. Personally I always have my mask on when i go out unless I...am eating or drinking something. Everyone wore their masks and correctly, no one was close together, so while I did feel safe, i still did my thing with constant mask wearing. The sushi was perfect as ALWAYS, just the perfect temperature, very fresh. Drinks are always good, server was great. Always fantastic...will be back...we have loved this restaurant but we have never tried the hibachi, don’t plan to but my friend loves it.More

Just moved to the Burlington area and I was dying for sushi. Didn't feel as safe just yet to eat in that type of environment but decided to get a take out. The portions were plentiful and the staff was pretty nice and accommodating and...it seemed like a pretty relaxing atmosphere considering it's during such a bad time due to the pandemic, but will definitely be back.More

OK, bear with me while I explain the context. I am a critical care medical professional on assignment to a local hospital for COVID care. COVID isn't a joke and I can tell you that; but Sakura is due to be a new "nexus" of...cases, I guarantee. Governor Inslee had given Washingtonians until Friday to start wearing masks in all social and group occasions where social distancing was impossible, and it was Wednesday afternoon. At Sakura, where the 'sushi line' was running full tilt and although tables were properly spaced, people were coming in between the tables - wa-ay too close - to get plates of it. And while all the servers were wearing masks, only two customers - myself and an elderly lady with a daughter(?) who wasn't - out of a dozen or 15 even had a mask. The chef was wearing his, but only over his mouth, improperly as possible. Let me break this down for you, the chef was breathing on virtually ALL the sushi being made! i spoke to my server to comment about the health issues but they had no control. So would you be happy if he had just used the restroom and didn't wash his hands? Well, this is worse. i made the best of it and ordered a Mack'n'Jack ale, some miso soup and the "Kobe" sashimi platter. The beer is good with more flavor than the Japanese choices; the miso was good and well seasoned but light on seaweed and tofu; the Kobe was excellent. I ate, using my mask appropriately, paid and left after a couple of pictures. So the first picture is the sashimi - yum. The second is the chef with his nose out. After I read the earlier review noting the servers had to split their tips with management and this plague-friendly visit of mine, I had a quandry. I wanted to give the food and servers a 5-star, I needed to give the place and the health issues a 1-star. Health issues won out. DON'T GO HERE until they start to observe - and you, too, sushi chef !- proper health concerns and stop taking the servers' tips. Honestly, who cares whether they survive the COVID crisis if they can't do any better than this? I am furious! You should be too.More

We had a late lunch around 1:30 and the sushi bar was completely packed but plenty of tables. I had a bento box that was decent, I included a picture.

It has taken me a year to decide if I would post this review or not.... I recently had a 3rd confirmation so I can't NOT share. Servers only receive a little over half of their tip money. I can't support this business. Food is...3 to 4 star.More

Something was off tonight, the sushi was a too cold. We ordered drinks, I got the ginger drop but this one didn’t have any ginger pieces in it. I ordered the avocado roll and the sake (salmon). My husband had the maguro (tuna) and the...chicken katsu (14.00). We were both full. Bill was $49.10. I love this place and have since it opened. I will continue to go here but tonight they were just not up to the standard they usually have.More
