Delicious food and friendly service ...

I love Indian food no matter what region of India the food is from ... and the food here met my expectation. I was a little worried when I first walked in and I only saw three customers in the place. But after eating my Lamb Vindaloo, I was in my happy place.As for vegetarians, they have a good selection of dishes to meet your needs. I will say the server was very friendly, but his pace was a little slow ... he was not ignoring us, but rather it seems he didn't want to either bother us or rush us. That said, I always managed to catch his attention and he quickly got what we needed (extra rice, more Naan and drink refills). As I was sitting there, I kept thinking I would love to try their buffet, but unfortunately they don't do buffet during the weekdays. So, I guess I'll have to come back during the weekend to try out their buffet. The restaurant's ambiance is a bit dark, but it is very clean and floor plan is well laid out. Parking can be a little problematic, it's street side parking and there are lots of shops in the strip mall.

Loved the Tandoori Chicken

The takeout situation at Royal Everest is problematic as we called far ahead for our order yet I waited at least 20 minutes once I arrived before I received the food. Once we got our goodies back to the hotel room, we were very pleased with the flavorings. The tandoori chicken was nicely seasoned and unbelievably tender, one of the best versions ever. The curries and vegetable dishes were also excellent. The one disappointing dish/item was the naan. For us, this is a critical part of the meal. Their version was more like the texture of focaccia, not at all like naan we've had elsewhere. We ended up not eating it and would not order it again unless we could confirm it is being made in a more traditional style.

Stopped in for an early dinner on a Monday afternoon in May. We chose this place because it was close to the rental car return facility at SeaTac airport. We were seated right away. The place was empty. We started with the vegetable samosas which were very good. We also ordered the bhindi masala and the chicken vindaloo. They were very huge portions but we're average quality. We also had a plain naan which was quite good and a kashmiri naan which was over done causing it to be flavorless. They did have ice cold Taj Mahal beers. The waiter was very nice and friendly and professional but overall the food was just average.

Never Again...

We called in an order on Sunday 12/13 for delivery and spent over $100... The food was cold. The meat was dry and overcooked. The portions were incredibly small. And, we were charged $2.00 for a single CAN of Sprite. We reached out to the establishment immediately. I, personally, have tried to call as well as leave a message via the website. I have received no response. We have ordered many times in the past, however, this delivery was beyond disappointing - it was terrible. One of my friends became extremely sick. I am all about being understanding during these difficult times, but this was really out of character for your establishment. I would appreciate a refund and at minimum an explanation.

Delicious family dinner

We are visiting family in the area. This was the perfect place for a family dinner. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a mix of naan, I highly recommend the garlic and kashmiri. The kashmiri was so delicious. The we all ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their meals. Great atmosphere, quick service and price point.

We have eaten here many times and have never had a reason to complain. Nothing is ever perfect, but the food is almost always excellent. The servers through the years have all been wonderful and the owner is such a nice personalble guy. Can't wait for weekend buffet again.

Good food, friendly service

Visited Friday night and had a great time. A family of 6 we ordered a range of curries and were not disappointed! Good food and very friendly service. Will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely love this place. Been here many times and have never had a meal that was disappointing. Chai tea is amazing. The waiters/owner have always been extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Service could use some work but the food was good. Non-veg dinner for two was enough food for 3. Garlic Naan a bit non standard but butter chicken and Daal were good.

Absolutely delicious!

My husband found this place on line, while searching for goat curry, and what a find it was! We had the paneer pakoras and calamari for appetizers, and mango curried goat, palak paneer masala, and aloo gobi as main dishes. Went with medium spice level, which was perfect for hubby, though I could have gone to medium-hot. Fantastic, and perfect portion sizes. Also be sure to try the keema naan, stuffed with ground lamb. Yum! Service was a bit slow, though not unexpected on a busy Friday night. We definitely plan to return.

It’s a gamble at the royal everest

I have never had one establishment be so different on two different visits. My first visit there the service was superb and the food was incredibly good. My second time there the service was appalling and in fact waited over an hour to get my meal and still didn’t get it after an hour. My husband had been served in about 15 minutes and he was generous enough to give me some of his food. After about an hour and 15 minutes when we still weren’t serve my meal we decided to leave. Worst part was that they didn’t even attempt to make things right and there was no apology. I am debating if we will return. It’s a gamble. JEK

Excellent food and service

We eat here on a regular basis, the food is very good, the service is better! Though I do have to say the color scheme is a bit off putting. The place looks like it would be poor, our first visit we debated leaving! I'm glad we stayed, it is one of the best for Indian food in the West Seattle, Burien area! Here is the one thing that keeps me from giving it 5-stars; the owner keeps all tips! The staff has to turn them in if left in cash and whatever you add to your card you give to the owners. I worked several years in restaurants and consider this a travesty. It took me a while to come back after I learned this. I do go sometimes now (not like we used to) but I do not tip!

Love this place, still the most amazing Indian food in the area

Visited again and had thier Aloo Mutten Mushroom and it was amazing. Just a word of caution, if you like it really hot then great. If not say mild. I usually eat really hot food I thought, I typically get medium here and it is perfect for me. Hot is good during the winter time it will warm you up!
