We had an excellent table when my husband took me here for my birthday last month. Server was awesome as was the steak. The lobster tail was OK. Crab cakes were delicious. The biggest problem was our neighbors phone kept binging every time he got a text. We couldn’t relax and felt like we were at work. We asked the server to ask the man to silence his phone, which he did. Then his wife’s phone kept binging with every text and no one made sure it was no longer a bother. We were stressed the whole meal. When you have a nice dinner for over $200 for 2, management needs to ensure it’s a relaxing cell free environment.

This is one of our favorite fine dining restaurants and we try to come here several times a year. This visit did not disappoint. The entrees were absolutely delicious. I had the venison, which was one of the specials. It was cooked to perfection and was to die for. My daughter had the gnocchi and she loved it. My wife had the sole, which was also one of the specials. It too was fantastic. On this visit the service was not up to par, however. It was slow and our server was not very attentive. We had to as her twice both for a glass of ice and sweetener for our coffee. We were also disappointed with our desserts. I had the vanilla bee crème caramel, which was a flan/custard dessert. Unfortunately, it did not look very appetizing. It lacked presentation and looked like it was just dropped onto the plate. It tasted okay, but it was not what I was hoping for. My wife had the key lime pie. It too lacked presentation and really left her wanting. The crust was far too thick and there wasn’t much filling. The filling though was good; there just needed to be more filling and less crust. The only dessert that was really good was my daughter’s. She had the chocolate truffle cake. She loved it. The entrees made up for the other shortcomings and we will definitely be coming back.

We were staying in Bellingham for a few days and came here for dinner one night. You must make reservations as this popular restaurant is busy. The sunset was gorgeous and it seemed like a better view then I remembered from the last time we dined here. What made our dinner more special was our server, Tristan, who was so friendly and attentive (even behind the mask) you have an excellent server. My DH doesn't pay too many compliments but he even mentioned how good she was. The food was excellent (he had the filet mignon and I had the boulabaisse). He had a few oysters (can't recall the name) but he found them a bit salty for his taste. The small parking is limited so you may have to park down the street. There are no street lights so I found using my light on cellphone helpful when leaving in the evening.

We have gone to the Oyster Bar off and on for years. This is the first time it was a disappointment. The smoked seafood chowder was to die for but the salmon we had was not good and certainly not worth the price. It was my husband's birthday so I didn't give candid feedback when the waitress asked as I didn't want to ruin the mood. Privately, I gave the feedback to the waitress but her response was why didn't I say something when originally asked. I had already explained why but it didn't compute somehow. I just wanted her to know but she was a bit edgy about it. She offered a free desert but that wasn't the point and I just didn't want to belabor it any further. We probably won't go back for awhile. There are other places to try.

We’ve dined at the O. B. when we wanted a consistently good experience with food quality and service for the last 25 years. Not today! It was “fine”, but for a 25 to 30 dollar lunch we expect really good. The main complaint was the service. Our server asked if she could clear our plates while we were half way through our meal. We stayed less than an hour! And they had only 4 occupied tables. Don’t get it?! Where did their great wait staff go??

Based on prior reviews, we were prepared for an expensive lunch, but one that would be worth the price. We were not disappointed on the first count - it was almost $150 for 2 persons w/ 2 entrees, sharing an appetizer, 1 iced tea and 1 glass of wine. However, we were disappointed on the second count - the food was mediocre at best. The crab and shrimp in the seafood salad were not fresh and were basically flavorless, which may explain why the salad came with a serrano chile dressing - to flavor it up. The view was lovely, the service fine, but the overall experience was lacking. For a restaurant with such high end pricing, the food should be top notch which sadly it was not.

This is a place which must be relying on its view and reputation. The view is very nice. We had the calamari appetizer which was mushy and greasy. The entree seafood salad ($36) had three tasteless shrimp and a bit of crab. This meal would have been overpriced at half its cost. One and done.

Once again The Oyster Bar did not disappoint. I got the winning dish of the day which was their appi special, a pork belly confit with seafood in a saffron broth. Yum! All the other dishes were also top drawer. The drive on the Chuchanut is also a very pleasant alternative to the I5 if you are not in a hurry.

I knew when I bit into the fourth oyster of the six Assorted that I ate a bad one but finished my whole meal. The asparagus soup was good and filet great. Woke up at three to have several bad episodes. The service was great and sunset better. Outdoor dining in lower sixties temperature was just OK, thank you Covid. I know raw oysters are a gamble but with six tiny different oysters are consumed the odds seemed in my favor. Oyster Roulette was not a good idea before the morning Ferry. Fortunately I gained no weight yesterday when I look on the bright side.

This restaurant has got to be one of my favorite in the towns near Bow. Always friendly staff. Glad to see them open back up safely through Covid. If you are ever dining here and they have the pickled beet salmon appetizer, GET IT you will be amazed.

Stunning views, good food and friendly service just a bit slow. We happened upon this restaurant by happy circumstance. We were actually looking for a different place but were very happy to end up here. Making a reservation is strongly encouraged but the hostess was able to squeeze us in. The food menu is full of mouth watering offerings and the wine options don't disappoint either. We began out meal with a sampling of a dozen oysters. They had six varieties available so we ordered two of each. Then we had the perfect wine to match. They serve the oysters with a frozen mignonette which we had never seen before. Our waiter suggested we use it as a palette cleanser between the oysters. This was a fantastic suggestion. For our second course we split an appetizer order of two crab cakes. Delicious. Hubby had the halibut for his main - cooked perfectly and I had the seafood stew. It was quite delicious. But...my favorite part of the entrée course was the cheese souffle that comes with every main course order. It's pretty clear that we were too full for dessert! Our only complaint would be that it was very slow. Our entire meal took just under three hours! On the good side of that, we were there to see the sunset which was absolutely stunning!

We got reservations for 5 pm when sunset was at 6, so we thought we were good with the view. Unfortunately, the sun was reflecting off the water, so our view was obscured for a while. Our food was great (appetizer yummy, lobster perfect, dessert divine), and the view was fantastic once we could see it. Unfortunately, our server seemed slow, forgetful, and just not good at his job. We asked for wine that we didn't get, which he did apologize for spacing on it. We didn't get an in between 'intermezzo' that was supposed to come with our meal that he took to everyone else. We will definitely come back here again, as it's one of the places we are going to go to from now on for an anniversary or Valentine's Day. We just hope to never get our server again.

Nestled among the evergreens overlooking the bay. Small little place with limited dinning. Tables upstairs, downstairs and on the deck. Tablecloths with come as you are feeling. Side salad is a meal in itself not large but chock full of flavor and goodies. Very limited parking. Usually have to park on the very narrow street, no shoulder. Hours change so call ahead first. Reservations a must even if you call 30 minutes before your arrival. The best seafood and wild meat available. Bread from the local, outstanding bakery. Desserts to die for flourless chocolate cake was very rich and perfect for sharing. Nice wine list and excellent service. We had the fresh king salmon with veggies and basmati rice. Fish is horrible when overcooked. This king salmon was perfectly prepared with the perfect temperature. Specials everyday.

The only place I will ever go for oysters! I love their smoked salmon special appetizer with beets and goat cheese, ugh, so good! Every dish I’ve had here has impressed me. The service always goes above and beyond to make sure their guests are happy and enjoying themselves. The fish tacos on their lunch menu are wonderful!

Setting, food and service all excellent. It was a special occasion so we drove down from Vancouver BC for a special lunch. The border was a two hour plus wait, which made us late but we were seated at a lovely table. The chilled soup was delicious on a hot day. The restaurant itself was refreshingly cool. My friend liked her crab cakes and I enjoyed my oysters. The sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever had. The service was gracious and efficient. Loved it and can’t wait to come back
