I am an ice cream fanatic and have tried ice cream in many cities in US and abroad. Mallard's is my favorite, hands down. Fresh ingredients, mostly locally sourced, unique flavors as well as classics, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. I have been going to Mallard's for years starting at the original location and moving to the current one.

Valhalla of virtual ice cream flavors, Mallard usually has anywhere from 25 to 30 flavors of ice cream available daily. Some of the flavors you have never heard and you will probably never see anywhere else either. The atmosphere is casual with couches tables and café chairs. There is a fireplace in the center. The prices are above average but... More

Retro, fun, quacky, quirky! If you like ice cream there is something for everyone! Got a strictly vanilla buddy great...but...my favorites are..licorice, cardamon, lemon supreme, espresso...or how about basil, salt and pepper or tomato for the more adventurous. Get on in there and sit by the fire in the evening ! Wish there was one in San Diego 🤔

They have some of the best flavors that you can think of. Came to visit family and wanted the people I brought to Bellingham to taste what I thought was the best ice cream I have tasted in a long time. Flavors rotate somewhat and seems they have some regular flavors. Great taste and friendly staff.

Go there mainly for an "ice cream cone" ... good quality in a nice area ... would like to see a few more "favs", like peppermint, always available!

People rave about this ice cream so of course I wanted to try it. The line was out the door. The flavors are all very different. There wasn't anything I considered a normal flavor so I tried black pepper ice cream, it was not to my taste. Rather expensive.

Mallard Ice Cream & Cafe is on Railroad Avenue in downtown Bellingham. It isn't quite in Old Town, but it does carry the mixture of grunge, antique and new. The setting is a mix of family fun, single silliness and an opportunity to just people watch while eating the most locally unusual flavors of ice cream, yogurts sherberts and beverages.... More
