Had eaten many different varieties of their breads but had never had lunch until this visit. So many sandwich choices and everything looked ( and tasted delicious).

First time visit and certainly not the last if visiting Bellingham again. We split the Ham and Cheese on focaccia bread and each had a cup of Tomato Dill Soup. The sandwich was very good but the star of the meal was the soup. Lots of sandwich choices to satisfy even the most picky eater. Would love to come back... More

Went to the James Street location for a lunch meeting and as usual was really happy with the quality of the food. I like the tuna melt and the banh mi in particular. I had an hour scheduled out for lunch on a weekday and had arrived at noon, so it was busy. It took a little over 35 minutes... More

I've had breakfast here. Delicious. We had the breakfast sandwiches. I think mine was The Beast. It was bacon, avocado, tomato, egg, and spinach. Really good. My daughter had The Country, sausage, cheddar, egg and??? Really good. We shared hash browns. They were just ok. The night before I'd made my amazing latke's so the hash browns never stood a... I have breakfast here every time I'm in Bellingham. It's a cozy place where you are welcome to linger over your cup of coffee. Their menu is diverse. I like the scrambles that come with a choice of bread. They are a serious bakery too. Sweet and loaves all look good. If you stop by at the end of the... More

The Almond Joy ball is indescribable. Sour dough bread is the best I have ever had ... And that's a tall order! Friendly staff!!! We... More

This place is busy at lunch time. Before we ordered they kindly told us our sandwiches would take about 25 minutes. So we figured we had better try what they had on tap (Kulshan red and Wander STR IPA), both were great. Sandwiches arrived and my friend's cranberry turkey looked great. My French dip looked a little lacking. She loved... More

Avenue Bread and Deli is an awesome place to have breakfast or lunch. Any of the omelets are great. I've had them all. My favorite is the Northwest omelet. It has smoked salmon with a dill seasoning and onions. It also comes with Rosemary bread that is made on site and hash browns. It's to die for. For lunch the... More

Stopped in on a Monday at lunch time. Busy, but not too crowded. Waited a couple minutes to order at the counter and then found a table. Very casual and comfortable surroundings, nice eclectic mix of customers. The menu had been updated since my last visit to the James Street location. I went for a Gourmet Salad and was very... More
