The Archer is the place to go for a comfortable dinner with such wonderful choices on the menu. There is enough variety for almost any palate. Portions are generous but not over-loaded and are fresh and tasty Live music adds to the atmosphere from time to time. Nice choices of liquid refreshment!

Archers is located in a basement near the main street through town. Don't let the entrance deceive you. It has a classic traditional pub look - oak bar, stone walls, tin ceiling etc. Large selection of English and local beers. Extensive cocktail menu. Food is burgers, sandwiches and entrees. We had sandwiches and the chowder, all of which was good.... More

I really love pubs, and the only reason I would give this place an average review is because of the service. We had a hard time ordering our drinks, and the group I was with, (ranging 21 to 27 years old), felt a bit out of place in the pub. The drinks were delicious and the location is comfortable and... I saw this place when we were walking around, they had a sign outside with some good looking drinks on it. We kept on going and when we got hungry, we decided to go back to this place, it didn't look like much and going down the stairs i wasn't expecting much and then i turned the corner and there... They have a nice Whiskey menu and cocktails with whiskey a and other spirits. Good local and overseas beers. Good atmosphere. We didn't eat - but the menu has expanded since we were here last. We plan on coming back soon for lunch or dinner. Whiskey cocktails started at about $8 with the "Archer" at $10- their version of an... More

You would not know it from the outside but if you go down the stairs and go inside you will be surprised. It looks like a regular pub but it is certainly more. First and foremost they pour a Guinness like they do in Ireland, which is really important. The drinks served here are just better because they take the... More

We stopped here for dinner and enjoyed the Irish atmosphere and food. Shepherds pie was great and so were the Irish nachos.

I'd been wanting to try the Archer Ale House for a while now so decided to have my birthday dinner there and I'm so glad I did! The food was super good. The apple bacon cheeseburger was really great with very thin slices of apple, Gorgonzola cheese and thick bacon Yum! The waitress recommended a beer for me and I... More

The 1/2 lb burger (my husband had) was excellent and filling. My reuben required his help. It was huge! But it was delicious. He ordered a beer (on tap) that didn't taste quite right. It tasted like a pilsner to me, but they don't serve pilsners so I'm not sure what happened there. I got 2 Spiced ginger pear lemon... More

Fantastic hidden gem, completely worth the stop. It feels more like an old timey blind pig than an irish pub, you feel like you should be giving the door man a secret code to get in. The food is in very large portions and delicious! The staff is friendly and if you like beer they have a huge selection.
