TORO Sushi and Bento is a small, casual place for lunch and diner in a strip mall next to Albertson's. They have a nice extensive menu of bento boxes and sushi that is fresh, ample and moderately priced. Fast, efficient service of large servings. I...especially like their Bento box lunch specials for around $10 that come with Miso soup, light salad, California rolls, rice and teriyaki meat of your choice (beef or chicken). Its almost enough to take home for another meal! Popular place for the working lunch crowd. Plenty of tables and bar seating to eat in or order take-out.More

Delicious food, fast and friendly service even though we came in just before closing. Large portions, sushi tasted fresh. Great combo roll options. Sesame seed balls very yummy. Fair prices. Can’t wait to return!

We tried Toro again and it was good. Menu was well marked with Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan options. Fish was fresh and good mix of traditional and speciality rolls. Service is good too.

My daughter picked us up lunch for take out she had the The Rock and Roll and I had the Fried Shrimp Roll, it was great. My daughter has been raving about it and it is the best I have had. Even for take out...the presentation was very nice.More

Why would one think that Battle Ground would have an excellent sushi restaurant? But it does. I like sushi and this place has some of the best prepared sushi in the metro area. It's small like most of these types of restaurants and family owned...and operated. Mom and Pop do the food preparation and the girls wait on tables. I particularly like sashimi and I find the ones here are large pieces, nicely presented and always fresh. The rolls are well prepared too.More

For a small town, Battle Ground is getting some pretty good restaurants. I wasn't expecting much when I met my hubby here for lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality and service. Definitely will be coming back to try other items on...the menu. Glad to see more good dining choices in BG!More

This place serves perhaps the best sushi in southern WA - but that is faint praise. The portions and prices are great. The sushi and ambiance are better than average. The service could use a little help. Still - one of my family's favorite places...in BG.More

If I lived in Battleground I would come here often. The portions are generous and the service is fast. The prices are very reasonable for authentic Japanese food. Also, the sushi is prepared to your preferences if you ask. Toro is an excellent sushi restaurant!

BG really needs a good bento/sushi joint. Alas this one fell short. Started with poor hostess/server service, dirty tables (wasn't busy, but any staff other than the dishwasher apparently wouldn't dare clear a table, including ours until after we left). The miso soup was excellent,...the rest mediocre. Presentation was nice, but too bulky for the tiny tables leaving little room to function comfortably while eating. The finale - or proverbial nail in the coffin - was the "fresh" tuna. My partner nearly ran for the bathroom to avoid puking he felt it was so bad. He's had plenty of fresh fish in his lifetime, and this was not. My combination rolls were fine, however. His chicken bento good as well. All in all, not worth returning due to the experience, lack of quality service, dirty tables, and bad fish. REALLY bummed.More
