Jakes is located at the Chevron by the intersection of High School road and Hwy 305. I tried the Party in the Garden pulled pork salad and the wife just wanted eggs and toast. Just as reviewed, the counter folks were very friendly, the food...very good and the atmosphere fun. You can eat at stools near the counter or outside on benches. Give it a try. Busy intersection near the ferry.More

With all we had read, we knew that we had to eat here when we spent a day of our vacation on Bainbridge Island. We ate lunch here — very filling sandwiches on freshly baked bread (Jake told us they bake all of their bread).... We sat outside on the picnic tables — I guess these belong to the gas station — because it was a warm and sunny day but there are also a few tables inside. A few hours later, we went back before catching the return ferry to Seattle. We needed food for a trip to Rainier the next day so we chose sandwiches, side salads and desserts from the to-go case. Jake’s was actually closed by then but a young man stocking the shelves bragged about the daily freshness of all their food. Eat here......or at least get your take-out here! I would be interested to know what ambitions Jake has but definitely eat here when you can.More

Best roast beef sandwich I've ever had! Perfectly rare slices of fork-tender beef and a lot of it, horseradish parmesan cream sauce with lettuce and tomato on a warm, crispy baguette. Don't let the gas station location fool you, the food is fab here.

I purchase food for a few days, and we take our food out rather than eating in. The place has very few tables, also a few tables outside. Yet doe me it's mostly grab and go. Mom and son come up with the ideas for...food. They are friendly and very good cooks. The owner also does catering. We have attended a few of those events. Very good selection of food and again delicious.More

I read the reviews so had to try it! Probably the best tuna sandwich we have ever had! Food, service is great but overall pricey. Teeny, tiny scone for $3.00.

Great clean convenience store with a Jake take out counter and bakery. Great scones and take home meals. Love the prepared meals.

Don’t be fooled into thinking Jake’s isn’t good because it’s in a gas station mini mart! From the friendly staff at Jake’s and the mini mart, to the best coffee, to flourless and gluten free desserts that are sinful, to the tri-power burger and on......stop by here! We stumbled upon it today, and only wish they were open longer! Local, organic, friendly, delicious - what more could you ask for?! (Order at Jake’s counter, receive order form, pay at minimart check out, give paid receipt when food is ready.) Try flourless chocolate muffin!More

This is a 'restaurant' inside a local gas station/mini-mart. It's basically a sandwich counter but don't think Subway - this is all homemade southern type cooking such as pulled pork sandwiches with slaw (but don't try to eat them with your hands!), as well as...burgers, sales and on Saturdays hand made cinnamon rolls. Tables and even outside seating are available, or of course take it to-go. Jake makes a pretty good meal...More

Tasty, natural food. Jake makes his own bread daily which helped make my tuna sandwich incredibly good.

It is a 1 mile walk or bike ride or there is a bus that stops on the corner of hwy 305 and high school rd. Jake's is right across the street from the bus stop at the Chevron. Hope to see you there!

We probably will be soon! Our hours will be changing in April. As of now, we are closed on Sundays, but we are about to hit our one year birthday and the word is out about our quality and great food so the demand is there... More
