Loved having dinner at this 1776 Log House! First time here and thought it would be fun AND glad it was open on a Monday night! My husband and I both had steaks - different sides - all great! Had Gascon Malbec - VERY reasonably...priced at $23 AND we loved our waiter - Kobe! Would def eat here again!More

Check out this interesting restaurant in downtown. The atmosphere is unique and the food is excellent! Everything was delicious and our waiter very attentive and helpful!

The Log House is something special. It was charming despite seeming very unkept outside. The visual stimulation was never-ending. The gardens, the restaurant, the store, the bar. I hope they can keep this place up for generations to come.

Giving it two stars only because I ‘mostly’ love the building. They obviously haven’t touched the gardens in years and it shows. The food was extremely poor. I’ve had better clam chowder from a can. Had a filet with broccoli casserole and a baked potato....It was all tasteless AND cold. Will never be back. The only plus was the beer was cold (but not as cold as the steak).More

We arrive here in the nick of time...we were quickly seated in this interestingly decorated place. It is clearly a historic landmark. The dinner was great and the wait staff nice. I had a ribeye steak — tasty! The appetizer bread was scrumptious!

The sign on the front door clearly states masks or face coverings must be worn upon entering. The 73 year old woman answering the phone didn't even have one on. Patrons were walking in WITHOUT masks! I tried to help our server with a mask...suggestion but was rebuffed. No matter how nice our meal was, if we find out this establishment was a COVID spreading event on October 10, 2020, there will be a lot of problems.More

Our food was great. Service was good considering the current Covid environment. The log cabin was interesting. The gift shop had interesting items.

Some restaurants can be unique or quaint be still be not very good. This isn't one of them. It's very quaint . In fact we had to walk through a store room to get to our table. It was as though we traveled through time...to 1776, from the decor to the tables to the furnishings. The food and the service were outstanding as well. From the HUGE loaf of warm bread to the even huger stuffed mushrooms. Seriously where do they find mushrooms the size of Softballs? We both had the stuffed pork loin with again... a. HUGE baked potato. Our server was excellent as well. A very enjoyable eating experience for a couple of weary travelers.More

I was Traveling through the area and decided to try a local restaurant for a light dinner. I decided to have a shrimp cocktail and a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. Both were outstanding. As far as their dinner entrees go they seemed to...have a nice selection of dishes but in my opinion were a little pricey. Setting that aside, I definitely would recommend them for an enjoyable dining experience.More
