Nice red hot dogs from the old days.
Nice steamed buns.
The slaw was ground too fine for me but flavor is nice.
Chili did pretty good.
Story behind the place is worth the visit.
Wytheville to the Whitehouse. Only in America.
Stopped overnight in Wyethville on our way to Myrtle Beach and thought we would try some local fare. Went to the World-Famous Skeeter’s—what a horrible experience! The food was microwaved and still disgustingly cold. None of the dogs had what we ordered on them and...it took over 30 minutes to get the wrong food. Nat a single order was ever made correct. Gave us a hot dog (not what we ordered) free as compensation. Two of the servers were fighting with one another right in front of us. Two of us spent the next day with horrid diarrhea. A great big YUCK!More

Thank you very much for bringing this situation to our attention. As one of the owners of Skeeters, I can't tell you how sorry I am that you had a bad experience on Saturday. Our manager and I are investigating what might have gone wrong...More
We decided to stop here for lunch one day while walking in downtown Wytheville. It is a very unique and wonderful place to enjoy a lunch away from the ordinary "fast food" places. The waitresses were absolutely great and friendly. Do not miss an opportunity...to experience a great local store.More
Highly recommend. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly!! We were on a couples weekend shopping trip. Stopped for a quick lunch. Didn't have to wait long for our slaw dogs and fries. Fries were perfect and the dogs were delicious!
We stopped here for a quick lunch on the way to our hotel. It’s a cute little place, in the middle of a cute little town. While the staff was very friendly, they didn’t pay much attention to our order and it wasn’t accurate. I...would have expected a bit more considering the place was not busy. We were not thrilled with the food itself either. The hot dogs were decent but the fries seemed like they were right out of a bag. Perhaps it was just an off day but I I was disappointed in our first time there.More
This place been there forever , It seems. Just a neat little Dinner , With counter and bar stools , few tables. Old signs and all on walls, You just knew You're going to get a Good hot Dog , And You did for many...a year. But Things change, And that looks to be what happen here. I always stopped in , Anytime I was in area & Feb. 8 2020 was one of those times, I new they had changed owners, But didn't know they had changed hot dogs ,The Bun and all where fine, But that was one tough hot dog on that bun! IT WAS TOUGH , Like it had a hide on it tough! I figured new owners found a place to buy some cheap hot dog wiener's. Hopefully They'll figured it out and go back to a better one & They'll be there another 95 years! Selling them Skeeter Dogs!More

Very sorry your experience was not as hoped or expected. Not certain what may have happened that day-the hot dog is the same type and supplier that has been used for many years. So, if your willing, please come back and give us another try!...More
Visited skeeters on the 5th October 2019 was travelling from the u.k and staying at the Bolling Wilson hotel , it’s a must to do if you are in the area the skeeter dogs are great and service is excellent,
When you walk in it’s...like taking a step back in time the decor and friendly atmosphere
Well done would definitely recommendMore
Very good hot dogs & chili. Been there since 1925 and the decor is reflecting that fact. Pleasant staff & atmosphere however does get crowded around lunch,.. as a plus, you can see a giant pencil and paint can on storefronts across the street. Stop...if you’re in the areaMore
