We tried this out recently and loved the chicken and the rice. They also have tacos, enchiladas, salads, etc... The service was quick and we found the food to be fresh and hot. We’ve since picked up things to go several times and have been...happy with the quality every time.More

The tacos are incredible and I loved the steak burrito. Make sure to check out the salsa bar as it’s huge!

Ended up at Guapos due to the other restaurants in the Potomac Mills area being crowded with wait times longer than we had time for. We love Mexican and Latin food so thought this would be a great alternative. While the menu choices were vast,...several items on the menu were not available, like simple queso. I ordered ground beef tacos as a safe choice with rice and beans. Can't really say they were the best tacos I have had and I have eaten at A LOT of Mexican places. Husband ordered chicken with Cole Slaw. He could not finish the slaw, was not tasty. Not only was the good not great, the atmosphere was not appealing. the girl at the register was not overly friendly, looked like she would rather be somewhere else. I get it, you always want to be somewhere else other than work but she could have made an attempt to pretend. The music was way to loud, we couldn't hear each other talk. Needless to say, we won't be returning even if other restaurants in the area have a long wait. I would rather wait a little longer and have a better experience.More

My wife and I have been going there since it opened in front of Potomac Mills mall. It was amongst our favorites and we frequented it on Friday date nights before going to the movies. The food was fresh, hot, generous portions and at a...fair price. Over the years more and more people became aware how good it was compared to other Mexican or any other restaurants and the crowd started to grow every time we went. Now they have changed the menu and the entrees advertised on their wall mounted menu boards are no longer available and they have weird appetizer sized plates instead of the three steak, soft taco platters I used to order. Now the chicken and ribs taste like left overs heated up in the microwave and nobody speaks English. It’s difficult to order and they don’t even really care anymore because for now, they have plenty of business. It’s best to avoid Guapos because there is always a problem with the food, your order or something. It’s total mismanaged and all they can get right is collecting your money or processing your credit card. 👎🏻More

Guapos is a place my husband and I have passed 100 times, no joke, and never ventured inside. Now we are kicking ourselves; this place is fantastic! We always get the nacho platter with beans, beef and cheese. It is done very well with each...chip topped with an equal amount of goodness; topped with a fresh jalapeno. I love the street tacos, they are $2 each on a corn tortilla. They have a topping bar with fresh limes, onions and other yummy things to add to the tacos. For me the guapos sauce is worth the trip. Creamy with a hint of spice! My husband thinks the chimi is the best and we think this affordable place is much better than On the Boarder or other more traditional sit down places. They also offer cold beers and a terrific margarita.More

This is actually Guapos Rotisserie & TexMex Grill (Not one of their sister "Guapos Restaurants", which are also good, but different). The food is good and staff is friendly. The prices are also quite reasonable and they give a military discount. (Although the last couple...months the cheese steak sandwich and chicken cheese sandwich have not been as good (small, wrapped in tin foil and not as tasty) and they have shifted from putting generous portions of their fresh rotisserie chicken on their Lupita Salad to using dry chopped squares of chicken. They need to go back to the earlier prep methods / chefs.More

I had the half chicken meal and the chicken is moist and flavorful . I had the yucca and dipped in that awesome green sauce who needs ketchup. The fried rice was just ok but I wasn’t expecting much given the location. I will be...back for the chicken, it’s always fantastic.More

Have frequented this restaurant for the past 10 years. Last two visits have been a MAJOR letdown from previous visits. The pricing has risen considerably, the wait time has increased, and the availability/quality of the food has deteriorated. Last visit they were out of the...Tamales de Elotes and salsa (how does a Mexican food restaurant EVER run out of salsa?). Waited several months, went back again, and waited over 20 minutes for a burrito and enchiladas. Beans had a odd flavor, and it tasted like the salt shaker lid fell off and the contents of the bottle ended up on my food. I'll try them again in the spring, but don't hold out much hope that they will have improved.More

Guapo’s is my go to place for decent food (in Dumfries and Reston). My sister and I also shared an order of chauffa rice, three taco platter and a half rotisserie chicken meal. The taco platter has changed and not for the better (no pico...de gallo or guacamole on the side). My chicken was a little over cooked and salty. Just like most chain restaurants the food prices are rising and the quantity and quality a getting lower.More

The food was tasty. The chicken was delicious and the chai Ken soup was loaded with vegetables and chicken.
