Loved this restaurant for years. Waiters are formally dressed with black bow ties on formal shirts and black slacks. Very elegant. HOWEVER, the hostess and the manager on duty are not dresseed in keeping with the feel of the restaurant. The hostess make me wonder...if I was in the wrong place, and the manager had on a tee shirt. Spoils the impression of tasteful elegance. Disappointing .More

We booked our table through Open Table which gave us a time of 2:15 p.m. We were welcomed and shown to a lovely table. Our server, Justin came right over and took our wine order. Service for our wine was impeccable. Our food was hot...and delicious with the fried catfish the star of the table. We are very fortunate that we have found the perfect neighborhood fine dining experience. Needless to say, we’ll be back again and again.More

it's been several years since we dined here but it was just as delightful as ever, maybe even better. Great service, excellent menu options but best of all the food is most appealingly presented and just delicious. So glad to have returned.

Have been there three times, previously. This time the service was slow and not at all attentive. The meat was “chewy” and not tender at all. The au gratin potatoes were good and the coconut cake delicious. DisappointedMore

Terrible! Not worth the money. A pretentious imposter of a steakhouse! The wait was way too long, the steak quality was not prime. service was not helpful, quite poor. Don’t waste your time or money. Too bad we can’t have a quality steak in Williamsburg.More

We had a 7:45 reservation and were texted a few minutes before that our table was ready. Parking was not a problem and we were escorted to our table immediately. We enjoyed the horseshoe shaped booth so that we could sit close together. Lighting is...just right and the atmosphere is city chic. We were close to the piano, which played softly on its own, the keys moving by unseen fingers. A basket of bread was brought quickly. The wine pour was 8 oz in a very large glass. The cowboy cut steak was perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth. I wasn't a big fan of the seasoning on the Chilean sea bass, but that was probably a personal preference as my date said he liked it. We had a chocolate cake for dessert and espresso. All in all we had a great experience.More

My only comment is that the prime rib, which everyone is will to pay the $35 for Has WAY TOO MUCH GARLIC in it. Prime rib should have a succulent beef taste not an overwhelming garlic taste. More than one person on the staff needs...to taste this itemMore

We made a reservation for 5pm for our anniversary. They were not busy, maybe 10%. After being sat at our table, we waited over 10 minutes for our waitress. No one even showed up to pour a glass of water. When she finally arrived, she...stated her other table showed up 45 minutes ahead of their reservation. And she had been too busy with them. It was early and she had one other table. She was nice, but not attentive at all the entire 2 hours we were there. Yes, 2 hours for 2 of us. It wasn't because we ordered that much, just water to drink, dinner and not too good cheesecake. The food was okay, but not worth the price. We have been to better places in Williamsburg that are worth the price. If we needed anything, we had to get someone else that worked there. We had to ask for water refills too. She just seemed clueless as to what her job was. When I made the reservations as I have done with other restaurants here, I put that we were celebrating our 35th anniversary. Absolutely nothing was mentioned by hostess staff or the waitress. It has always been mentioned at other restaurants made through this site. And to top it off, I went to the ladies room and found a man washing his hands at the sink! I had to check the sign outside to make sure I went in the correct one. The signs blend with the walls and are hard to read. I can't believe we spent $140 and left so disappointed. We definitely will not be back. There are plenty of good restaurants in Williamsburg with excellent service and a much lower price. I just wish our favorites had been open on a Monday night. And even with the omicron variant covid spreading easily, NONE of the servers or staff were wearing masks!!!!!! That is unacceptable.More

My husband and I and another couple had an excellent dinner. Two of us got the fillet mignon and said it was perfect. Two of us got the fish and it was fabulous! The bread and butter was made in house and it was fantastic....Craig was our server who explained the menu in it's glorious detail. His attention to detail was very much appreciated. We had great wine, dessert and a chocolate martini. All were awesome. It is very pricey but worth the splurge.More

The menu description on the crab cake says “no filler” and it’s true. I lunched with a friend here. Along with the scrumptious decent sized crab cake, fresh veggies and real mashed potatoes were included in my meal. The menu has so many selections, it’s...hard to choose. My pal had a seafood chowder and the house made chicken pot pie. The service is five star. The affable and delightful manager even checked in with us.More

Came in for a late lunch at 2:15 (they close at 2:30) greeted and given no hassle or felt needed to hurry. I sat at the bar and had the pleasure of being waited on by Jessica. A very pleasant knowledgeable young lady. We chatted...about the food and wine list for a bit, then I ordered the fried calamari. It was some of the best I have ever had!!!!! Fresh, hot, crispy and full of flavor. I then inquired about the crab cake and was told it had no bread what so ever. HUH!!! How many times have you heard that line? Well guess what? You could have served that cake at a celiac convention!!! 1 of the best ever eaten!!1 I just got it on a salad with a delicious lemon basil vinaigrette. I had 2 very nice glasses of white wine from the by the glass menu. It was very broad and well thought out. The Maître D a gentleman with a beard in a tux came by several times to make sure every thing was good, it was! I noticed they had several new staff members who were going through what appeared to be a rigorous training regimen. Very clean organized place, dining room looked quite comfortable. I will have to come here for a full dinner next time. Very talented chef and FOH management.More

Yes, you'll be fine. I would wear a collared polo, not t-shirt, but that's just me. No ripped jeans and you're good to go for lunch, dinner. I usually wear biz casual pants.
