What a great experience. I had a lemon drop martini, home made dumplings, and oysters at start of meal. The best martini I've had in a while. Appetizers were amazing. The restaurant is in complex with other shops and restaurants. It has a pleasant décor with subtle Asian theme. An order of six Pork Pot-stickers was $6.95. They were on the smaller side but good. The Sweet and Sour Chicken ($13.95) was good but strangely...came only with pineapple chucks and no sweet peppers. The Kung Pao Chicken ($13.95) was generous. The side rice selections were white, brown or fried. The food was a little slow in coming but they were pretty busy. Magrita was very attentive.More

Honestly reading a lot of the reviews for here makes me wonder if we went to the same restaurant because we had a great experience. I chose this place for my birthday lunch because we had one where we used to live in South Carolina...and I loved their sweet potato roll. This location is actually a lot cheaper than the one we were used to. Downside, they have no yum yum sauce which would have upset me but their version of the sweet potato roll has an orange glaze sauce. We will definitely be back!More

My husband's meal was fine and he likes it there. My crab roll was sandy and the very rude waitress said that is because of the crab. Could not eat it. Never an apolgy or discount because I did not eat but one piece. I...will never go here againMore

Extremely slow service !!!! Should have left but they kept saying it will be right up and then nothing for another 20 minutes. Took over 50 minutes of waiting for 3 egg rolls

We went to celebrate my son's birthday one day after Thanksgiving. We saw comments about the slow service so we were happy to be seated upon arrival. It didn't matter that the restaurant was not busy because we waited well over 30 minutes to get...our drinks and appetizers. Not a good start. The menu is vast and a combination of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes. I ordered duck and it was excellent (Chinese), my son ordered sushi and it was good, my wife and daughter ordered tempura and Japanese appetizers that were not anything special, and others in my party ordered Drunken Noodles with chicken which were only partially eaten (not good at all!). Summary: Slow service, average food, and high prices.More

Not sure why this place isn't ranked higher than it is. One of the best places in the burg. All you can eat sushi most days so order off the vast menu and you'll eat faster.

Extremely long wait don't ever order to go from this restr. It's over 1 hour everytime and they do not tell you that. I think they do not start cooking your order until you arrive

When we ask where our kids want to go it is always Ichiban. This is a very busy restaurant and with COVID seems even busier. It can be a long wait, but our entire family loves their food. Lunch is a favorite for visiting guests...as they have an all you can eat option with some sushi and small hot plates. We notice it is also a favorite of W&M students. We like their thick rice noodle dish, and chicken fried rice as well. Usually we get some sort of sushi. A very hard working family we like to support during COVID we met their daughter waiting on our table who actually came in from NYC from her own job to help wait tables. To keep this simple... food is good. SERVICE IS TRASH THEY WERE GIVING ME HUGE ATTITUDE FOR ASKING FOR A DISCOUNT WHEN THEY MESSED UP AND MADE ME LOSE MY WHOLE LUNCH BREAK. What happened, for those curious: - I ordered at 1:50 for my 30 min lunch break - They said 15 mins which is standard - I arrive around 2:07 and within 4 minutes I speak to someone - I tell her my order n the name its under (My break for work started at 2:05 btw) - The server tells me its still being packaged in the back - I wait. Theres two orders sitting on the far right counter - 10 mins server says it is being packaged.. doesn't check either order on the other counter (on the right) - 5 mins later go by and another server asks me my order - I say the same thing and the time I ordered and she ALSO says my order is being packaged still (I am on the phone now just trusting that my food will be out soo - Now its been 25 minutes since I arrived and my lunch break about to be over.. - Around 2:30-2:35 my lunch break ends. I ask for some help and the server gets someone from the back. My boss arrives as well to pick up his food that he also ordered 45 mins ago. - I tell the lady from the back what happened and ask whats going on. - Another customer who had came in and was upset that no one has serviced her for a long time walks to the orders and points mine out, I tell her that isn't mine, mine is still being packaged and the label says different things on it. - The lady from the back agrees that that is my food even though it says what I ordered in a weird way and doesn't include my soup but I took it. Here is where the issue I have truly begins.. I ask her if I could get a discount for the fact that I was told that it was being packaged in the back multiple times, I've been sitting there for half hour and my break is also gone. I say for all I know the food could be cold as well. The lady focuses on the food temperature comment and says she won't give me a discount because the food isn't cold. I ask her to consider still because that wasn't the main issue and she gets upset and states that she won't give me a discount. My boss steps in stating that he is a regular and knows her and that if she could give me a discount it would be reasonable and confirms that my break is gone while I was sitting there. The random customer also vouches for me that I was waiting and the staff wasn't being aware of service at all. The lady from the back finally says yes, not verbally, she just takes my card and I see the discount. She gave me a 1 dollar discount and snatched my card out of my hand. The card slipped out of her hand onto the register because she took it so aggressively and swiped and finished service in an irritated manner and wouldn't even give me eye contact. I said thank you left. P.S. I had to leave even though I was planning to walk with my boss back to the office building because I wanted to not show any frustration in front of my boss while he paid. meal was good though... Just sucks that they're the walking distance restaurant for chinese food near me and my second time going there I get treated like I did something horrible to the staff... please consider this when you order. trash service isn't a big deal until its YOU who it happens to.More

Terrible service waits after you order are45 minutes plus plus. Never order to go most rest in williamsburg area are very good food and fast. This one is always very slow

The food was excellent and so was the service! There is a decently stocked bar and wine selection. Not to much to do in the surrounding mall but I believe that was due to my families Sunday at 6pm dinner when we were vacationing. The...only thing I would take notice on there is a 18% gratuity charge on parties 6 or larger. We have five kids aged 6 to 18. In all a good experience and would come back again!More
