We had lunch and the restaurant is filthy. There was jelly on the benches along with mayonnaise and paper was dropped at every table but never picked up. The air conditioning vents were loaded with dust and I’m sure was spread by constantly running ceiling...fans. The hamburger s were disgusting and served on a stale bun that was almost an inch thick. The hamburger meat was grey and probably tasted horrible too if the taste wasn’t smothered by the huge bun. The French fries would have been acceptable except for what looked like Paprika was sprinkled all over them. If the Asian owner new how to cook she would realize that she really does have a fun menu. The descriptions of the breakfast items were very appealing but at the prices she is charging at this dump, I will never know.More

An old school diner with great oldies music playing. Shared by youngsters and super seniors. Great portions. We had Corn cakes and Biscuits and gravy. A huge plate of biscuits smothered with flavorful sausage gravy. Honey butter for the corn cakes was prime. Authentic homemade...stone ground grits on the side! Not much on atmosphere but you can't eat atmosphere. PLUS a hot homemade cinnamon roll for a breakfast appetizer to start the coffee with.More

Stopped here on our way home to Yorktown from Richmond. Wanted an old fashioned diner type breakfast. Felt immediately like this place would benefit from a Restaurant Impossible makeover by Robert Irvine. A hodgepodge of mixed matched very old decor. Prices were reasonable. Large portions....French toast was very good. Pancakes were large and tasty. A very inexpensive breakfast with speedy service.More

When looking for a classic diner with an old school vibe Five Forks definitely lives up to this. We stopped by for a breakfast and found just what we were looking for. The diner offered a great selection and combos for traditional classic breakfast items....The big breakfast combo had the perfect selection of everything and was filling. I would highly recommend this diner to anyone visiting Williamsburg looking for a PD school diner with great food and staff!More

We were in town visiting friends and decided to stop here for breakfast. The wait wasn't too long and they put two tables together and three of us had to sit in folding chairs, it wasn't too comfortable. The waitress took our orders pretty quick,...but it took over 20 minutes for our food to arrive. I had the chicken fried steak, and it wasn't too bad, but the hash browns were very dry and cooked way too hard, the toast hard as a rock and couldn't be eaten. The only thing eatable was the chicken fried. Not a good experience and will not be visiting here again.More

The food was so delicious! Crispy bacon delicious strawberry French toast was the special with fresh strawberries & whipped cream. We had a side of corned beef hash & I had a mimosa. It was a wonderful find for breakfast! Highly recommend.

This had to be the best breakfast I have ever had! I had the Bananas Foster French toast with drizzled hot caramel and fresh banana slices, and over easy eggs and bacon. It’s a good thing I don’t live in Williamsburg because I don’t think...my doctor would approve of the weight I’d gain from all the times that I would have to frequent this restaurant. Amazing! I’m a very picky bacon eater because I grew up eating crispy, perfect, Southern-fried pan bacon, and usually restaurants never come up to par, but this one certainly did! And I was in food-gasms over the French toast. Holy Banana!More

Traveled to the Five Forks Cafe, staying downtown within walking distance of many breakfast spots, on the recommendation of a friend. Well worth it, food was great. Biscuit sandwich, pancakes, breakfast potatoes and sausage and gravy.

Reviews described this as a quaint diner and those are the best for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. It was on our way after a morning at Jamestown Settlement, but it would be worth a trip even it meant traveling an extra few miles. The service...was top notch. It's a little dated, but that added to the charm. Try the egg on grilled sourdough with feta, mozzarella, and tomatoes- it is a treat. The corn pancakes (think flat cornbread) with honey butter was outstanding; with eggs and a huge serving of bacon. The bacon cheeseburger with fries was also good. At the register were cookies made by a local; they were the right snack, but only a few hours later. You will not leave this diner hungry.More

They do have gluten free pancakes on the menu. I'm not so sensitive that I worry about cross contamination so I didn't ask how careful they are.
