We had breakfast at the Blue Talon one day and dinner the next. Both were very good, and we loved the atmosphere and service. The Virginia ham biscuit was delectable and the croissant almost as good, although my husband voted for his Belgian waffle as terrific. Our dinner, one scallops and one daily special of boneless short ribs, was excellent--but... More

A group of nine friends ate dinner here for our college Homecoming celebration. This is the second time that we held this annual event here and it is a special place. The menu is extensive, the food is awesome and the folks are wonderful. It's the perfect place for a special event or just a great meal. And the location... More

This is a place the locals go and for good reason. The service was great and the food was amazing. I had the most fabulous mac & cheese I've ever had. It's way more than one person can eat so I'd suggest sharing. My friend had the Croque Madame which she loved. Two thumbs up all around!

I took my granddaughter to Wmsbg taking a 2 week course. She had never had crab before being from Denver area, but she is now a fan! The onion soup I ordered was superfluous, but I would go back again just for the Crab Salad. Nice music and ambiance.

I love the decor and the breakfast was lush and sumptuous - I had the platter with EVERYTHING on it. Service was very good. Coffee was very good. They did not rush us out even though we were dawdling and gabbing. I really enjoyed our breakfast and would go back in a flash.

What a find in a "towne" full of tourists and folks looking for an "olde tavern". Blue Talon Bistro is French, chic, nouveau and excellent. We 4 have had the Fish Reuben, onion soup, Mac'n'Cheese (which got a little dreary under the crunchy top layer), the HUGE meatloaf sandwich, the tomato-goat cheese tart (heavy on the tomatoes) an excellent Pasta... Breakfast was included at the bistro from our bed and breakfast. The restuarant was a visual delight tin ceilings, very francais. The platters are enormous and excellent. Fresh fruit was perfectly ripe and wonderful baguettes. Coffee could be stronger it was a bit on the weak side but overall, outstandinf

The Inn Keeper (Billy of Fife and Drum B and B), of our Bed and Breakfast recommended the Blue Talon to my wife and I as we visited Colonial Williamsburg October 6th through the 11th 2016. Our first dinner at the Blue Talon showed us just how exceptional this food emporium is. The fish entree my wife had exploded with... More

Service was good (thank you Krystal); food was tasty and served timely. Onion soup was flavorful and hot with a nice thick slice of cheese on top. Diners ranged from mussels to buttered chicken breast to chop salad. All well prepared and properly served. The chocolate mousse ( virtually all you can eat) was a fine finish as was the... More
