We went here as referred by a friend and were not disappointed! We had a sandwich entree that was great. They have a wide assortment of bourbon choices and other brews. We will return again!

I am not exaggerating when I say this restaurant served me the best food I have ever tasted. It is reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of food you receive as well. Absolute masterpiece!

We enjoyed outside seating on a gorgeous day, service excellent. My husband had the bistro burger, and I had the BBQ, which was a mix of chicken and duck. Both meals excellent, portions very nice.

This French style Bistro is in the middle of the historical Williamsburg complex, yet the food and service was of a level that you would expect in a local neighborhood restaurant. Large outdoor seating area. Reasonable prices.

On the way home from Virginia Beach we want to stop for lunch in Williamsburg. We saw the restaurant from our parking space and decided to try it. We walked in the back entrance past several servers without acknowledgment to the hostess station. We sat...quickly and provided one menu. We both chose the New England Clam Chowder, not inexpensive. My ordered tea and was provided in thoughtless increments; the french press 1st, a few minutes later the cup, then had to ask for cream, sugar, and spoon. All three arrive in increments with apparent attitude. Finally the chowder; the broth a consistency of hot skim milk (we are from New England and it is never like this), a handful of tiny, extremely overcooked clams tough as rubber. Asked for oyster crackers and were told we could purchase a baguette. Almost $14 for a cup and a half of a light creamlike broth with some potato pieces and bacon, and we have to pay for a chunk of bread? Crazy. Certainly not a place we will ever consider again. Service was poor and inattentive. Not once were we asked how our food was. Better service at Chick filet! I would not recommend this overpriced, pompous establishment.More

Best New England clam chowder I have had in a long time. The truffle fries were also delicious. Great outdoor dining area where they welcomed our dog while we ate. The service was also wonderful. The steak was good but not fantastic.

We arrived on a recent rainy day and decided to get something to eat. With the COVID pandemic we preferred to sit outside. The outdoor seating was fairly vacant; and we requested to sit outside. We were told we had to check with someone inside...the restaurant. Inside we were told they could not make that decision; and were offered an inside table. When we again asked to sit outside, we were told we needed permission but no one offered assistance.More

We had a great meal here. Good portion sizes of really tasty food. We sat under the lights in the tent and really enjoyed it. My son ordered a burger and said it was great. I got the croque madame and thought it was delicious....The other meals were also good. My wife has the basque for dessert and it was amazingly good and different. Service was efficient even though it was late and the host staff was very welcoming. Would happily go back next time. They played really awesome music , too!More

My husband and I stopped in for a quick snack. We sat outside under a canopy. The food was good we got a charcuterie board and a bowl of New England clam chowder. The bread on the board was very crunchy and almost toast like....It was great for the chowder though. The chowder had the clams still in the shell which was very nice. It was the perfect dish for a chilly and windy day.More

We enjoyed the wine, the asparagus salad with poached egg and the fried oysters. Everything was delicious and we appreciated all the extra precautions they were taking during coved. they had table set up outside and everyone was spaced apart appropriately. The servers were masks...and gloves. We had mac and cheese the next day on the foodie tour. It was the best mac and cheese I've ever had in my life, and I eat a lot of mac and cheese.More

I have never made reservations, and have been very lucky with either a short wait or no waiting time. During busy times, it might be good to make reservations. It is very popular, and worth the wait if needed. Ever meal... More
