Fat Canary has superb food, especially the desserts. Can't think of any way to make any of our three courses better. It is a bit cramped and noisy, and you can have a nice chat with the folks next to you, but the food really is great.

This is a favorite of ours and while we are locals we have eaten in fine restaurants worldwide and find the Fat Canary to be our favorite. The environment is inviting, the wine selection superb (and priced lower than any fine restaurant), and the food accomplishes the perfect bite. The staff is incredible especially Tink and David not to mention... More

The food was good but expensive. Atmosphere was very noisy and crowded. The wait staff was excellent.

Everything at Fat Canary was absolutely delicious...from cocktails to coffee and dessert!! The pork chop and goat cheese souffle, though, was by the best thing that I had on our entire trip. My mother got the scallop dish, which she loved...until she tried my pork chop...then she regretted not choosing it. Service was outstanding. So good that we almost went... More

Still the best restaurant in Williamsburg you can get a table out without a 3 month wait. Great food, perfect taste. Best in the town by far. The only tough spot is the restaurant is too crowed and lacks ambiance/warmth. I wish they had a nicer, bigger building. Still that's minor and this is the place for great meal. Price... More

We are usually frugal eaters, but we decided to indulge in a *fancy* dinner to top off our trip. This was a great choice! For appetizer, we chose the mozzarella and ham spirals with pesto, roasted tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar. For entrées, I chose the pork chop and my niece chose the scallops. We both liked mine the best, but... More

Over the years, my wife and I have observed the evolution of Colonial Williamsburg with great wonderment...the history of the pre-Revolutionary War community, the restaurants, the retail shops, the farmers' market, the development of nearby William & Mary University, the museums, the Rockefeller influence, the celebrated Williamsburg Inn, the tourists. Why did it take us so long to discover the... More

I came here for my Anniversary. The staff printed us a menu with our names on it and all signed it. The atmosphere was great and the food spectacular. Our waiter was perfectly charming and attentive without hovering. I highly suggest this resteraunt for a memorable date. The pumpkin crepes are to die for!!
