A must-stop on our annual visit to Williamsburg. Our Bartender/Server Niki makes a superb dirty martini and mango mojito. This time we had the New England clam chowder which was very good...both rich and spicy. An order of mussels was plentiful but just a little lacking in flavor. The caesar salad was creative, tasty, and came with a melted parmesan... More

This is my favorite spot while in Williamsburg. The food is very good and the chef always has a very nice special. Sit at the bar inside or out at the cafe. Good beer and winde selection. Our server was great at making recommendations.

Had lunch today with my wife at Berret's in Williamsbug. I had she crab soup which was very good and the grilled crabmeat and shrimp quesadilla which was excellent. My wife was very pleased with the roasted turkey, bacon & gouda club. Barret's is located in Merchants Square in the historic area and across the street from William and Mary.

A wonderful selection of fresh seafood. Great service. A wonderful wine menu. The atmosphere is very tasteful. The bar area is also a nice spot to have drinks and dinner .Just a few steps from DoG Street near the Henry Street shops.A great place for an evening meal with or without a special reason for dining out.

We ate in the casual bar portion of the restaurant and had good food. This part of the restaurant is open air, which I found pleasant, though some in the party felt chilled. Wait staff was attentive and helpful. I would say, being able to substitute grilled asparagus for french fries is A+! The double crab sandwich was delicious, if... More

We had a great experience with our group at Berret's having arrived for dinner during the busy evening hours. They accommodated us well, seated us in a very friendly fashion! We ordered drinks, visited with one another around our outdoor tables all the time having friendly conversation with wait staff. Allison was our server and worked very hard and quickly... More

Another visit to CW and of course we could not visit without a trip to Berret's. As usual the service is outstanding. The martinis are excellent and the seafood is both delicious and inspired. I cannot say enough about Berret's. They definitely do seafood right! This is a must visit.

Wife and I stepped out of Williamsburg to get lunch today and found a great spot. I had fried oyster appetizer and my wife had calamari . Sauce for both was spicy and tasty. If your looking for something outside of the taverns at Collonial Williamsburg try this place.

We had a very mixed experience. The two kinds of shrimp special was excellent and the shrimp, scallops and crab ravioli was good. The crab cakes were mushy and disappointing and the rockfish special was fried beyond recognition and beyond any hope to be pleasing. Will go elsewhere when next looking for seafood in Williamsburg.

Whenever you are in unfamiliar surroundings while traveling, it can be a gamble when it comes to finding good food and service. However, on the recommendation of a "local", we found Berret's and were more than pleased with our "discovery". The service was top-notch (little did we know we were being served by the "general manager") and the food was... More
