We ate at this pancake house our last morning in Williamsburg. Parking and waiting in the car as it rained was not ideal but necessary as Saturday morning was very busy. My wife and I ordered egg platters and the fried eggs were perfect as was the Virginia ham and all of it served on a bed of thin, perfectly grilled potatoes that absorbed the runny egg yolks and made for fine eating. The décor is worn but functional and the wait staff stretched by the throng of patrons. If we lived in Williamsburg this would be a frequent stop.

Visiting Colonial Williamsburg and decided to try Colonial Pancake House based on various reviews and location to downtown. Not only does the restaurant adhere to COVID protocol BUT the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The Guilt Free Breakfast sandwich was so tasty and good sized portions as well as the oatmeal on the side was more then enough! Overall superb dining experience with colonial flare! We definitely will return!

We found this pancake house our first morning in Williamsburg. Wonderful food! We went every morning of our time in Williamsburg (7 days) and we tried various things on the breakfast menu. All were cooked to perfection! The bacon was nice and crisp, the pancakes light and fluffy, and the homemade biscuits were to die for. Every server we had the privilege of getting to know was great. This pancake house is right on the edge of the colonial Williamsburg area and they serve not only breakfast, but a nice lunch menu as well. Don't miss it -- you can't go wrong!

Recently, seven of us had a delightful breakfast here. Staff are pleasant and accommodating. Extended menu with lots of choices, and timely service. No one had any complaints on the flavor of their food. One small drawback is that the waitress did not tell us that adding pecans to our pancakes had a 1.49 upcharge. We got a nice helping of the pecans, but I feel it’s common courtesy to inform the customer of this when they ask if it can be added. Parking can be a mystery to figure out, if you’re not familiar with their lot. There is a driveway on the left side of their restaurant and a driveway on the right side. The left side goes into a motel lot and using the right side can take you behind the restaurant. Then, you walk around the side to the front of their building. This can be unpleasant during inclement weather. Besides eating inside, there are picnic tables under the shade of the trees on the side of the building.

We have eaten at Colonial Pancake House a number of times. My husband loves their omelets. He wanted only the omelet with no sides so he gave me his hash browns and I ordered toast and bacon. The hash browns were a bit on the greasy side with large pieces of onion that could have cooked a bit longer. Not quite as good as past visits. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Coffee and hot tea were really good.

My husband and I ordered pancakes (light, fluffy, and slightly sweet), bacon, sausage, and scrapple. Everything was delicious. We ordered coffee that was hot and the pot was left on our table. We drank the entire pot!! Our server was excellent, but, sorry to say, we cannot recall her name. She was very attentive. We will definitely return.

I don’t usually love breakfast food but the food here was AMAZING. I ordered the colonial breakfast and I ate all of it which is extremely rare coming from me. It has to be super good for me to eat the whole thing. The service was also great, everything came out in a speedy manor and the wait staff was super friendly. If you are planning on coming on a weekend in the summer or on spring break I would recommend calling ahead and asking if they could take your name. They might say no because it is particularly busy that morning but then just try to get there as soon as possible. If the wait is super long and you decide to go somewhere else DO NOT go to National Pancake and waffle house. You will seriously regret not waiting for the good breakfast at Colonial Pancake house.

Recommended! Excellent service and pancakes! We had the Western Omelette and the Meat Omelette with grits, biscuits, and a side of pancakes. All our food was delicious and our server was friendly and very attentive. We really liked it.

Delicious and ample breakfast for a fair price. We enjoyed the 2-2-2 breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and 2 pancakes. A pot of coffee was brought to the table. Everything was prepared perfectly, staff was very efficient and friendly. So happy we located this pancake house while visiting Colonial Williamsburg. The location is an easy 3 minute drive from hotels in Colonial Williamsburg and worth it to enjoy a hearty traditional breakfast.

This was a great place for breakfast. At our table we had the Colonial Breakfast, french toast, Very Berry Pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes and biscuits and gravy. They were all delicious! Adults and kids loved the food. The service was great. Get there before 8:00 to avoid a wait.

During a recent visit to Colonial Williamsburg we were looking for a place for breakfast near the village since we did not have a car with us. We happened upon the Colonial Pancake House and what great fortune! My daughter was so impressed as eggs benedict was on the menu, something she does not always find. She said they were prepared different than she was used to and definitely way better. The staff was very attentive. The restaurant was almost one mile from where we were staying but we thought we would try walking at least once since we were tired of sitting after a long train ride. We were so impressed we returned there each day of our stay in Williamsburg.

The reviews led us here for a group breakfast and we're glad they did! The food was very good and the location is PERFECTLY convenient to the sightseeing in Williamsburg afterwards! A word of caution though, we searched online for more info about peak times and were VERY glad we did! We went on a Saturday morning and arrived at 8:30a. By 9a., there was a line outside with no signs of letting up anytime soon! The place is smaller, but you quickly learn why it's so popular. If going for breakfast on a weekend, I would strongly encourage you to tell your party to "suck it up" and get there before 9a.

With so many breakfast places to choose from, we chose Colonial. Service was so fast, wait staff very friendly. My eggs were cooked perfectly, my husbands blueberry pancakes were delicious and our friends had the omelets which they loved. I would recommend a stop here.

The food and service at Colonial Pancake House were both exceptional. My wife had a vegetable omelette, and I had blueberry pancakes with sausage & eggs. Man, those blueberry pancakes were so light, fluffy, and tasty. There was a flavor in the pancakes that I could not determine, maybe vanilla or something else. But did it ever make them taste so good. This is a place I will definitely be visiting again.

Breakfast again this morning at Colonial Pancake and as usual, outstanding! The absolute most sanitized restaurant we have been to since the statewide re-opening.....a fresh, sanitized condiment basket for each table.
Lunch is always a treat as well!
