Mr. Harris James took the best care of our family during our meal. We visited Williamsburg on a vacation and we loved the Aberdeen Barn. The food was good and the people were lovely. Highly recommend for families!

We arrived at his location (reservation highly recommended) and where seated in a timely manner without reservation. The staff was friendly. Our waiter was HARRIS JAMES. Definitely ask for him to be your waiter. They start serving the table with crackers, cheese and butter PLUS...hot baked bread basket. Water too. Their menus are a great selection of land and sea. Plus vegetarian options as well. Dinner plates where well presented. We were a family of four. Two shared a main course and they served them separately (that was a huge plus for us) instead of having an extra plate and making a bit of a mess in the table. If you’re looking for a family friendly environment with moderate cost of delicious food I can definitely recommend this place and out server.More

We were in Williamsburg with our two nieces, ages 8 and 9 and decided to go to the Aberdeen Barn. We had been previously in May and enjoyed it so decided to go again. The restaurant is an "old-fashioned" type restaurant with 70's decor. There...is lots of wood paneling, beams and it is rather dark, yet it feels like a warm hug. The service was great. Harris James was our server and he was utterly charming and efficient. Our nieces ordered off the "junior customer" menu. They couldn't decide between the steak and the mac and cheese so they decided to get one of each and then they shared. In addition the kids got salads or peaches plus a side. The mac and cheese was such a hit that we had to order an extra side for the girls to share. I ordered the lamb chops and a baked potato -- loved that they brought a caddy with toppings for the potato so I could doctor my own. The lamb had great flavor and was cooked just right. My only complaint about the lamb was that it came with mint jelly which definitely tasted like the jarred jelly I could get at the grocery store and not a fresh mint sauce or jelly. That would be my only suggestion for improvement. My husband ordered the Airline Chicken but he did not enjoy as much as the girls and I did our dinners. One of the greatest things about coming here is the cheddar cheese spread and crackers that is complimentary.More

We had a wonderful meal with amazing service from Harris James at the Aberdeen Barn. The menu had a wide variety of choices and all of the food was prepared perfectly. Harris was the highlight of the night with his story telling and “finishing touches”...including table side service galore. We also enjoyed Sterling and look forward to watching him play defense for William & Mary this year.More

The service and food were amazing. Harris was our waiter and he did an amazing job taking care of us. I got the grilled Tuna and it was the best tuna I have ever had. Highly recommend this cozy place.

Went with my daughters & husband. Nothing to get excited about. Service was good. I had clams casino that were not good & crab soup that was really thick with little flavor. My husband & daughter had the prime rib. It was a little tough....Nothing was extremely flavorful. Complimentary bread was hard. It was an ok experience but nothing more than I would expect from a chain restaurant.More

This is an excellent restaurant and we have been coming here for years and the quality has not changed. Our waiter Harris is the best! He gives you the best service and knows when to bring everything out so you are not bombarded with appetizer...and entrée. They have the greatest prime rib, it’s so delicious! Enjoyed a fantastic steak dinner. My husband had the New York Boneless Strip and I had Filet Mignon. We also shared the St Louis Ribs appetizer to get a taste of their famous Southern Comfort.and Peach barbecue sauce. We restrained ourselves from eating the half...rack and will enjoy them again for lunch. All the meats were very tender and flavorful! The staff was excellent as well! Wendy was our waitress and provided exceptional service. She was very personable, didn't rush us to order our entree, and was very attentive.
