Prices are a bit high for available labels, but the selection is decent with a variety of international appellations fairly representative of varietals. Tasting bar with charcuterie and a friendly staff. Check for a discount certificate on the Save 30 website- peninsula, food and wine.

It was so nice sitting outside enjoying a glass of wine and a great sandwich. We really enjoyed being around the college. The locations is across the street from the visitor center.

We stopped in to grab a bottle of wine for dinner. We didn’t even realize there was a cafe and wine bar. We shared an excellent cheese plate, sampled a few wines, and beers (great tap selection). Most importantly we had a great time talking...to the friendly staff. They were very knowledgable and made out visit wonderful. An hour later we left thoroughly pleased with a great recommended bottle of wine. We will be back.More

This is a cozy wine and beer store that offers a little cafe (Cork Cafe) and regularly hosts free tastings! We recently stopped in on a Thursday for an Alewerks tasting and afterwards ended up seated at the small (seating for about 8) but comfortable...bar. Note: There is also a section with tables. My husband ordered the '$6 Pint and a Slice' special - a half-pint of one of the featured Alewerks beers and a big slice of Papa Murphy's pizza (the next door franchise), his choice of pepperoni or combo (he chose combo). I believe this deal is only available occasionally, not every day. I went with a glass of the house pinot grigio (around $6 I think) and the cheese platter for $7. I got the Vat 17 Cheddar with apple slices as my accompaniment and it came with a sliced baguette. Everything was so good! There was so much cheese that we ate up the baguette and apple, then ended up ordering the herbed olive oil and baguette ($3) to accompany the rest of the cheese. My husband has a growler that he brings to fill up with the specialty on tap beers they sell (there is a chalk board with the names, prices, and alcohol content). He didn't bring it during this particular visit, but he will most assuredly be back to do so at a later date! We love The Wine Seller!More

People may not realize that there is a small cafe/deli in this wine store. We stopped by for lunch and found the sandwiches we had (one turkey, one pastrami) fresh and tasty. I was told that the house dressing is the same one sold at...the Cheese Shop. But it is always crowded over there, whereas it was quiet at this place. The person working there was friendly and answered all my questions. Since we are locals, we will probably go there again.More

Very charming wine store with a small cafe in the back of the store. There are few small tables if you want to eat In or you can carry out. Both the wine store staff and the cafe staff were very friendly. We ordered "Beef...and Blue" (slow cooked roast beef, marblejack blue cheese, carmelized onions & house dressing on sourdough) sandwiches to go. The boxed lunch included a bag of chips and a dill pickle. The grilled sandwiches were deliicous, the beef very tender and flavorful. Definitely worth a stop.More

This is sort of a deli counter inside the wine store. But the food is excellent and they have great recipes. Whoever does their cooking does it right. Not a place for a huge meal but a perfect place to grab a quick lunch when...you are on the go.More

I love coming to this little store and experiencing samplings from their tap or a deli snack from their sandwich shop. Today was no different...always a great discovery in their line of taps. Today was a feature from Ardent and was a honey-ginger..served with kindness,...professionalism and knowledge...the best way to have a good beer. It's not only about beer...they have awesome cheeses...a great selection and served on a board with fine accoutrements! Stop by the Wine Seller and get yourself a beer or sit for a wine tasting...such a great way to spend an afternoon!More

A combination delly/sandwich shop embedded in a well stocked wine store. Simple sandwiches and soups when you want quick lunch and have time to browse a good selection of wines and micro brews. You can have a beer with your food, and some friendly banter...with the knowledgable staff. Nice alterative after Hallmark card shopping or the grocery experienceMore

Calling the Wine Seller Cork Café a café is a big of a stretch. It's a couple of tables inside and a table outside of a strip mall wine store. Don't get me wrong, these guys know their wines. They make great suggestions and have...a large variety for such a small shop. But their deli service leaves something to be desired. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes and then left without eating. I'm not sure why they bother with the café part at all. They have a nice little neighborhood wine shop going -- and that's what they do best. I cannot tell you if their sandwiches are any good. I couldn't get anyone to make one for me.More

There are about 4 or 5 tables in the back of the wine shop where you can get a good sandwich and usually a homemade soup. The ingredients are high quality and the menu is flexible.

Brought my W&M senior here on Saturday for a quick bite before some shopping. Had a delicious lunch! Their menu lets you choose all your ingredients for your sandwich if you wish. When I started to order, they even recommended me NOT getting the bread...I had chosen because it wasn't as fresh! I may have changed my bread, but not making this my go to lunch spot from now on! Not crowded, not pressured to leave. AND got a great bottle of wine to purchase as well!More

In the back of the wine store there is a deli that makes great soups, salads and sandwiches. It is never crowded, centrally located. You can get cold and hot drinks and they also offer to pack up your lunch if you don't have the...time to eat it there. The shrimp salad is awesome.More

The Wine Seller masquerades as a wine/craft beer shop, but it's really a gourmet sandwich shop with delicious beers and wines on tap! Actually, the bottle shop is really nice with quite a variety of great wines and beers. On top of that they have...wonderful made to order sandwiches at reasonable prices. Pair it with a craft beer on tap (I had the Enjoy By 12/25/2015 and my father in law had the Mad Elf) or a glass of wine. I enjoyed the Artesian grilled cheese, my wife and mother in law "mad their own" wraps and my father in law consumed the BLT. The ingredients were fresh and the food was great. The service was as expected, VA friendly. I would definitely recommend a stop in.More
