We were a group of three that ate here on Valentine’s Day. We had made a reservation and were seated promptly. We were surprised at how large the restaurant was ad we loved the décor. They di an excellent job of keeping everyone socially distance....The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. The restaurant just did not have enough wait staff. Our server explained that this was the first time in months that they had been busy. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees. We were all in agreement that food was good but not great. We would be willing to give it another chance and hope that it was due to the holiday and not being properly prepared.More

I came in with my wife this past Sunday and I had an amazing experience. I loved the scenery and the food was delicious. I enjoyed reading their Corona story which was on my table. I have always loved locally owned businesses and after reading...their story I fell in love with this restaurant even more. My waiter I believe his name was Ben or Brian did an outstanding job and it made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall my entire experience was amazing and we will definitely be coming back soon!More

Me and my boyfriend came here for our Valentine’s Day dinner. When we came in there were a few guys ahead of us and the hostess went to seat them and gave us our menus and told us where we could sit so we didn’t...have to wait for her to come back, it was close to 20 minutes before a waitress came over and apologized because she was unaware that she had a table.. anyways we order our drinks and we order appetizers we were still on sure of her food but felt kind of rushed so when she came back with our waters we still have not decided still feeling kind of rushed that we didn’t know what food we wanted. We hadn’t gotten that far we had overlooked it but we had questions about the menu but had only seen her twice so we had had a chance to ask her about it. So on her third trip that we ordered. Appetizers were great I ordered a drink and it had a lemon seed in it not a big deal - but as time went on we continuously waited she came back over and said that our first drinks were going to be can’t because we have been waiting so long and that the food will be out in 15 minutes not to mention that we had been waiting for close to an hour for a food already. So we ordered another round of drinks my drink comes out with five lemon seeds in it which I’ve just never had happen at any other bar. A little bit before this a table of eight had sat down beside us and I was told I was going to get a water refill a lot of attention was paid to the table beside us but not to us. So finally our food comes out at the same time our food comes out the table beside us gets all their appetizers. My meal the shrimp marinara was not good at all so it did not take us long to eat as we were hungry and ate very fast so by time we were done with our dinner the table beside us of ate was all getting their dinner so I’m not sure how a table of a got their food so fast compared to us. Our waitress came back and she asked if I wanted a box for my food I told her no she asked if I liked it I said no it was very watery it just wasn’t good at all so she said that she’s going to have it taken off the menu as well as our first round of drinks. So we asked for the bill at this point we had already been there over two hours - our first round of drinks we’re not free the two cheapest drinks were but the food was comped. We really didn’t want to have to go somewhere else for dessert as it was already so late but we knew we would be there way longer if we decide to get dessert there so we end up having to go to the grocery store just to get ice cream and going back and enjoying in the hotel. Will never return! :(More

The service was fantastic and the building is pretty cool. There are plenty of choices for food, but the food needs to be revamped. My husband and I split the yellowtail tuna served grilled medium rare. It was more medium than what we wanted and...it was a very bland taste. There was a side of teriyaki sauce, but it didn't help improve the taste. The side choices were steamed broccoli, red potatoes, rice pilaf, or an upgrade for asparagus and baked potato. The kids had the spaghetti and cod. The cod was good. The french onion soup was ok. The apple cobbler was all right. Again more improvement on taste. The kids shared a brownie and they said it was good. This was our first time there and we were staying at a nearby hotel.More

My wife had the grilled salmon and I had the appetizer portion of crab cake and fried oysters. Both excellent. Since this is the restaurant's 40th Anniversary, and in a competitive restaurant area, they obviously are serving great food at a good value. The restaurant...is being COVID careful - staff wearing masks, providing space between tables, etc.More

We were in Williamsburg for a conference and checked out the closer restaurants online. The leader of the conferenced vouched foe these guys. In the age of Covid we found no hostess at the front desk so we were looking at the ambiance of seafaring...memorabilia and finally wandered into the bar. The owner came out and seated us. Turns out it is their 40 year anniversary. The waitress was very helpful and we were looking at some wine flights from the Williamsburg Winery. Then she said because of the anniversary if we ordered a bottle, we would also get a wine waiter's opener. It was a sturdy tool with the winery logo on one side and the restaurant on the other, Now I know this is building slowly, but things keep getting better. The wine was their Winter Solstice White, a Viognier blend that was just amazing, slightly sweet with hints of lemon and lychee nuts that went great with our seafood. We chose the baked seafood platter to share that ha cod, shrimp, scallops and lump crabmeat over the top. We added asparagus and french fries. Then for dessert we had the apple thing, a bowl of baked apples , not too sweet with a crust just laid over the bowl and vanilla ice cream on top. Just a great and unexpected evening.More

Great food with great service. Decided to go here based on recommendation from sales clerk in local shop. The atmosphere was great and the food was excellent. Our server was attentive to our service and very knowledgeable about what was served. Normally do not order...dessert, but he recommended the caramel pie with whipped cream and ice cream. We tried it and it was great.More

I didn't see anything that look like a sale to me. Even the items they claimed to have on sale at the time were over 25.00 and you didn't get much of it.
