Stopped in for breakfast and it was great! The staff was super friendly and very attentive. The food came out very quick and was very good. Highly recommend the biscuits.

Ripped off! Come on Chickahominy House, stop serving Brunswick Stew with two small bites of chicken!! It'll be a very, very long time before we return, and we are locals.
My family and I have been visiting the Chickahominy House for about 30 years! Maxine knows us well! (The Palmer Family). We used to make Miss Melinda’s pancakes at home quite often, but have since misplaced the recipe book. Anyone have the recipe? Our rendition...of Miss Melinda’s pancakes would be bliss on Christmas morning!More
This place and the staff and owner honestly made my day. He was so friendly and kind the staff were all full of southern hospitality The food was very fresh and delicious I don’t write reviews unless I am sure anyone will find the place...a rare findMore
Dine in one of Williamsburg’s historic 18th century houses. Limited onsite parking and since it’s located near the corner of a very busy intersection, it can be hectic getting in and out of their lot. Great gift shop. The gentleman who kept our glasses filled,...answering all our questions, was most helpful with anything we asked. Didn’t get his name, but he’s truly an asset to this restaurant. He has great PR skills. Everyone enjoyed their lunch, especially the Miss Melinda’s Special. I didn’t have as good luck with mine as the others. I ordered the vegetarian stew. The vegetables were half raw, very hard. I even cut the potatoes, carrots, etc. up into smaller pieces, but even that didn’t make it edible. I took it home, heated it on high in the microwave for 2 minutes and those vegetables still wouldn’t soften up! So, I had to try it again for another two minutes.More
Every year we visit here at least once during our trip. They have a small breakfast menu but the breakfast is always top notch. The other half of this cute home is the shop it always has some nice and sometimes unique gifts for family...and friends. This year we took home a quart container of their Brunswick stew, we enjoyed it very much, different from the one you get in the south, but every bit as good.More
Thanks 814Arie, we hope to serve you again soon!
My wife and I along with her parents visited last week. I had some of their biscuits in a doggy bag from my wife's precious visit. Owner, I presume, seated us and made us feel at home (he was especially fond of my Boston RedSox...mask! The biscuits are not the typical American quick breads but more aligned with a typical British crumpet, flat and sturdy. 2 of us had a breakfast platter and 2 had the creamed ham on biscuits, a take off on SOS (I didnt know it by any other name until college!) As the big eater of the group I got to finish up the wife's creamed ham, which was not a problem at all. The country ham was thinly sliced and salty as it should be. Wait staff was exceptional and everyone was quite friendly. This place will be a required stop any time we are in the area.More

Amazing! Just like grandma used to make...biscuits and ham as well as the chicken and dumplings were wonderful. My husband got the Brunswick stew and love it too. Can’t wait to go back!
