Enjoyed a southern lunch of Virginia ham biscuits and Brunswick stew for lunch. The special also came with sweet tea, fruit salad and homemade pie. This was as good as the taverns of Williamsburg, but half the price. The restaurant is an old house and very charming as well. The gift shop also had a lot of nice things and... More

This is truly a unique place and worth the visit. Our breakfast was scrumptious. The mimosas were yummy. Tiffany was wonderful. If you like southern charm then you will love Old Chicahominy House.

The Old Chickahominy House is a must do while in Williamsburg, Virginia. It offers fresh homemade, authentic southern food. Our meals were delicious and we enjoyed talking with Miss Virginia our waitress, and Miss Maxine, the owner. As if the great food is not enough, you can also lose yourself in the spacious antique shop on the opposite side of... More

Local restaurant, in operation for 50 years. Restaurant and gift / antique shop. Food is traditional southern. Great breakfast, country ham, grits, homemade buttermilk biscuits, and pancakes. Limited menu. I have not done lunch. Old tavern style house. Staff very attentive.

There was no kids menu, but our 8 year old loved the Virginia ham and biscuits, and the 4 year old loved the chicken and dumplings (and so did I -- yum!). The brunswick stew was also tasty. There was a couple for "3 course" menu options, which consisted of a fruit salad, a main entree (Virginia ham and biscuits... More

First time back in a year. Still good, but the menu is qiute small and quite limited. The included boutique shop is still interesting to peruse while you wait for your table, which is a puzzle. We noticed three empty tables when we walked in and still had a twenty minute wait.

Had lunch recently at the Old Chickahominy House. Keep in mind you are visiting for delicious food and a "colonial" experience and you will not be disappointed. In Colonial Days, a meeting house along a trade road involved one big room with lots of cozy tables and everyone ate there together to share the news and "meet with" folks that... More

Good home cooking, friendly and fast service. Family owned restaurant. Wonderful breakfast, my husband doesn't care that much for breakfast. But he was impressed with this restaurant. Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

I don't understand why this restaurant is so popular....there is so much noise, tables are mashed together, and the service is not very good, it's like they want customers to get in and out, turn those tables over! And the location? On a busy road, mostly street parking....unless you count parking by the dumpster in the back. I won't be... More
