Since moving from New England to the South, we've noticed that none of the many Chinese restaurants we've tried can measure up to even the mid-level eats we grew up with. Peter Changs was another in a list of disappointments. Their dumplings are fine, but...more like a gyoza than a dumpling. Their scallion bubble pancake is a deep-fried wafer, more like the consistency of a Funyun without as much flavor. Perhaps they did not survive the ride home (we did curbside take-out) but we'll never know. Likewise the bang-bang shrimp was weakly flavored in a thick sauce. The lo-mein looked and tasted as expected but again nothing to make me miss the Chinese in my old home town. Oh well, time to move along and keep looking for something to satisfy. Despite other good reviews here , this wasn't it.More

This is without a doubt THE worst Peter Chang's that has been my misfortune to eat. They cheated us out of fried rice. Their whole fish tasted like cardboard ( i have had this same dish at Peter Chang's Charlottesville and it was delicious) i...ended up poring my "hot and sour soup" over the fish just to eat a small portion as i was very hungry!!!!! The hot and sour soup was equally as 👎 i donot recommend you waste your money on this particular "restaurant.More

Love this place. Food is terrific, setting is quiet, not gaudy, quite simplistic. All the hot rock dishes are amazing. Staff is friendly. It is rarely overcrowded. We also pick up things for a quick dinner at home--like some fried noodles, potstickers and spring rolls...which travel well. The best of high end Chinese cuisine between VA Beach and Richmond for sure.More

I moved away from Williamsburg several years ago. Used to eat at Peter Chang's for lunch every couple weeks. Food has remained good, especially like the spicy dishes. Only had the hot and sour soup and the cilantro flounder fried appetizer rolls today. Both we're...good. Atmosphere is lacking. Kind of looks like a cafeteria on the inside. Booths, and some partitions, would go a long way, warming up the atmosphere. The wait staff remains rather amateurish. The food brings me back.More

On a 6 day Christmas vacation to Williamsburg. We ate here 3 days due to the quality, service, and large menu selection. One of the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to.

This is not your average "Chinese" restaurant. When I say that, I mean because they actually have "Chinese" food here. This can be sometimes hard to find. If you are looking for your normal American Chinese food, you can still find it here. The deal...is this. Whether you choose Real or American Chinese cuisine, it's going to be VERY good.More

We waited a long time to be seated, but once seated waitress was prompt and attentive. Food was very good. Vegetables were fresh and green. Will definitely return.

I love this place. I crave the Szechuan Kung Pao Chicken and Beef dishes, and its usually enough for two people. The Hot and Sour soup is always spot on as well. The only dish I haven't cared for is the Egg Drop Soup. It...lacks flavor of any kind in my opinion. I dine here and I DoorDash. Both ways to order have been perfect for me.More

Don't listen to people being petty over not getting a fortune cookie, if you want that then go to the cheap Chinese place that does delivery. The food here is delicious and more authentic. The Golden Mountain chicken is awesome and so is the basil...chicken.More

We were passing by on a Saturday and stopped for dinner. We ordered beef fried rice and sesame chicken the fried rice was ok. The sesame chicken was bland at best. The waitress disappeared for the duration of the meal. No soy sauce. No fortune...cookies and I have never heard of this anywhere. Really a very average place at best.More

Lots of their dishes are "special" Ask the server if there is something you would like and do not see.
