This restaurant has some of the better Italian food in Williamsburg and the servers are very friendly and helpful but I was very put off by the 4% credit card fee. Who carries cash with them any longer ? The last time I saw this...irritating fee was decades ago. Between the high meal tax and this fee I was paying 10% additionally before the tip.More

We ordered the Papa dinner and eggplant parm sandwich to share. This food is amazing. Leftovers for days. Two thumbs up and I give my personal recommendation. This is coming from someone who personally doesn't care for Italian. They definitely made me realize how good...Italian food should be made.More

As a New Jersey Italian, I’m very critical of my pizza....this place is legit! The owner is from Italy and makes the pasta & sauce from scratch. We’ve eaten here several times and it never disappoints. Whether we get pasta dinners, chicken Parmesan, or pizza,...it is amazing! I highly recommend the garlic knots and Pizza Napolitana with fresh mozzarella, basil leaves, tomatoes, and grilled eggplant (see picture).More

I know I've raved before but in spite of having to operate under difficult circumstances, Maurizio's are maintaining their high standands during the pandemic, so please continue to support our local businesses. Hate to be so boring but the white pizza is a given for...me and did not disappoint.More

Their take out dinners are just as great as eat in. This our go to Italian Restaurant in Williamsburg. If you are anxious about going out in these uncertain times, call or get on the web and send in your order. The response time is...great as is the food. We have been coming here for almost three years and have never been disappointed. SO, support your locals here and call for take out. The veal in any form is always good. The chicken piccata is also a favorite. A great appetizer is the Carciofi Adriana which is artichoke mozzarella and prosciutto. Wow, very nice. Tonight’s dinner was another winner. So call them!More

We like Maurizio's for lunch and I always order veal piccata while my wife enjoys a variety of dishes from chicken piccata to chicken marsala. The accompanying salad is always crisp with Italian additions and the rolls hot from the oven are sprinkled with olive...oil and grated cheese. We also like the understated atmosphere, excellent waitstaff and the music in the background. We spend at least a week in Williamsburg every year and Maurizio's is our first choice for dining out!More

I begin by stating that my wife and I had been to Maurizios' 4 times before, and had always received good to excellent food and service. So, for my wife's birthday she asked to go to Maurizio's for her birthday dinner. We ordered wine, and...calamari for an appetizer. We ordered our dinners shortly after ordering the calamari because I wanted lasagna (as I most always do when we are out for Italian), and on the menu it stated they needed at least 20 minutes lead time to properly cook their lasagna. The calamari was served quickly after ordering, and was like eating rubber bands...as if it had been previously cooked, and then reheated in a microwave. Our waiter took it back (his persona changed to reluctance), and then came back later to tell us that they had tried it as well, and confirmed that we were correct, the calamari was of poor quality (such confirmation was unnecessary, as we have had hundreds of calamari appetizers with dinners out through our 37 year marriage, and are familiar with good, mediocre, and poor calamari.) Our waiter then came out with our salads, and soon after we took our first bites of the salad, he returned with our dinners to served. I made the statement that we had just begun our salads; and the waiter retorted that it was not his fault - he was just serving them as they were presented to him, and that there was nothing he could do. I explained that we ordered early because his menu required 20 minutes for lasagna, and it had been less than 10 since we ordered to the presentation of the lasagna. The waiter then got hostile, and asked us what he should do with the dinners? I mentioned to him that this was a special dinner for my wife's birthday, and he was unaffected. (I put myself through college french-waiting tables in a tux, and I know how this process works to turn tables effectively, but there was very few people in the restaurant, and no possibility of a waiting line. I also know that the waiter controls the process, putting your orders in so the client has time to enjoy every course expeditiously, but without feeling pressed...personally making each client's dinner special for the greatest possible tip). His hostility toward us perceptibly grew. When he did not want to take our dinners back I told him that if I wanted fast-food I would have went to McDonalds. He then took the dinners back, and this waiter never came back to our table again that evening. Finally, after finishing our salads, and waiting in intolerably long time, a different waitress came by to clear our salad plates, and then came back to serve us our dinners. She tried to requite my wife, who by this time was in tears for having to go through such a travesty for her birthday dinner. We began to eat our dinners, but by this time had lost our appetites. The waitress tried to appease my wife with a comped birthday dessert. We asked her to bag our dinners, and we left Maurizio - NEVER to return. There are far too many better options, than to have to go through this service and food horror show. I would place a bet that our waiter was the son of the owner - anyone else would have been fired on the spot. BTW-the "special" lasagna that stated a 20 minute window to prepare tasted as if it came came out of the frozen food aisle at Food Lion; tasteless and without any Italian spirit. I love lasagna - I have had thousands of lasagna from restaurants all across this great world. My wife's veal was overcooked and looked like the noodles had been dumped on the plate, without the least bit concern of presentation. There are other options for Italian, I suggest you take them.More

We had a large family gathering in the Williamsburg area this past week. Our first meal together was at Maurizio’s. We had a party of 15. Service was flawless. We were well cared for and food was cooked and presented to perfection. Our selections were...from all parts of the menu and no one was unhappy with their meal. I ordered the Veal Piccata and it was excellent. Highly recommended.More

Five of us came here after 8:00 PM on Christmas Eve and found a good sized crowd considering the late hour. We were shown to our table right away and our server Kerri took our drink orders. Then our food orders which had my wife...and I both having the Chicken Piccata with angel hair pasta and a basket full of delicious Garlic Knots. An excellent dinner with friends and great service from Kerri!More

We do not have a superset dining room for 13 people. You would just be sat at a table set up for 13 people.
