This restaurant was a nice find after a day of hiking in SNP. They were following Covid protocols and place was very clean. There were 4 lovely ladies running the entire restaurant...serving and cooking at the grill and they were hustling! Service was excellent even...though they were quite busy. Burgers were delicious and fries were served piping hot! Everything tasted very fresh. Medium size fry was plenty big for 2 of us to share. We would definitely eat here again when in the area.More

I was in Waynesboro at lunchtime and I was looking for somewhere different to eat. After looking on TripAdvisor, I decided to go to Tailgate Grill. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. They obviously use fresh burger for the cheeseburger—it was...very tasty! My only “complaint” was that we got the fries first, then had to wait for the burgers. I love hot fries—and these were hot—but I like having my fries and burger together. By the time the burgers arrived, we had ate half the fries and the other half had gotten cold. Next time I’ll ask to have them at the same time and everything will be perfect. Overall, Tailgate Grill is a great place to eat!More

We came off Skyline Drive and enjoyed the biggest basket of fries with great burgers and amazing cheesesteaks. Friendly service too!

Stopped in for lunch with friends friendly service and great food. Had heard they were closing but glad they are still open. Warning their large fries are enough for several people.

Decided to try something new because we are fairly new to area so we picked this place. GREAT!!! Not a big menu but if your in the mood for a burger and fries you sure came to the right place. I happened to be driving by and saw a sign saying “Voted best burgers in the Valley”. That prompted me to stop for lunch. I found the food to be good, not great. The burgers and onion rings were standard products from a restaurant supplier....I had expected the burgers to be handmade, bigger and juicer. The place was noisy; the country music (which I like) was too loud. All food is served on paper plates which creates a lot of trash. Not sure how I feel about that from an environmental standpoint. The trade off is that it saves water from not having to wash dishes. Prices are definitely very good / reasonable, which I think brings in people willing to accept average / good (not great food) at a cheap price. When I left, I definitely did not feel that I had had anything special; the burger was not memorable or especially delicious (just somewhat better than fast food). I was alone and that may account for the fact that the service I received was poor; not very friendly.More

While on the road eat local. Had chicken sandwich and wife fish. Medium fries were unbelievable. A must.

Great burgers and mountains of fries. Their fish sandwiches are also delicious. The only thing that keeps it from five stars is the noise level. The wait staff should be ten stars. They are terrific!

This is a great place. Fast service, comfortable, friendly. The burgers are fantastic and big. The small order of fries filled two of us. The price is a real value. Will be back.
