The French onion soup was very good. The shrimp stuffed hush puppies were very large and tasty. The catfish po boy could have had more flavor and fish...not exactly what I would consider a po boy but rather a fish sandwich. The pulled pork sandwich was average. The fries are supposedly hand cut with some sort of coating applied but... More

Staff was inexperienced, but attentive and tried hard. The food was so-so. I asked for unsalted fries with my seafood combination platter. The fries were heavily salted and lukewarm, at best. Our server offered another side and I selected the wilted spinach with garlic. Too bad the garlic was nearly raw. There seems to be a New Orleans theme to... More

My husband have been here twice for dinner, and both times it was delicious! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the second time we went, we both felt the food and service were just not quite as spectacular as it had been the first time. If there was a 4.5, that would probably be the... More

We went to Green Leaf again this week with friends. As always the food and the service were fantastic. The price is a little higher than some of the restaurants in the area. But if you're OK with paying a little more I think you'll really enjoy the atmosphere the food and the service.

If you are travelling east or west on Rt 64 in Virginia and you would like to eat lunch a good lunch or dinner, Green Leaf is one of the few restaurants you might consider. It's in a very old building only the most dedicated or hungry dinners will be able to navigate through the Main Street detours. I had... More

Very good food and service. Everything was done right. We came for dinner around 5p on a Thursday and the tables filled up fast. I suspect the locals know where to go for a good meal.

A few weeks ago, our minister took us to lunch there, We are low carbing, so we ordered a chef salad without croutons. The salad was fresh and crunchy. The waitress was very attentive, and the coffee was freshly brewed. What more could I ask for? Well they do have a nice bar with ALL kinds of beer from all... More

We were so happy to stumble upon the Green Leaf Grill. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The menu had something for almost everyone. I am a vegetarian, and really enjoyed the vegetable Napoleon. Most restaurants give only a courtesy nod to vegetarian diners - but this was a real, creative dish full of fresh vegetables like artichoke, spinach, mushrooms... More
