Good but ...

This is a difficult review to write because Outback in Warrenton is packed every night and beloved by just about everyone. I don't dislike it at all, yet at the same time I do feel it could be more. Their steaks are great and one seldom can go wrong with that. Today we had a blooming onion (my... read more

Wife suggested dinner at the Outback and I'm glad she did. Crowded but that's Friday night for you. Fifteen minute wait while we sipped at the bar. I chose the unadorned Mahi Mahi -- very tasty indeed as were the very basic but also tasty veggies served with it. Bread mini-loaf was great (why can't you find bread like that... More

So, if you see my reviews you'll see we typically stick to local farm-to-table and/or higher-end eateries and these "typical" pricey chains is the reason why! Upon arriving, there was a large wait outside with many patrons smoking cigarettes right at the front door. Walking past a cloud of smoke to get into the restaurant is nearly as bad as... More

Second visit in a month. This visit appetizer, fondue cheese was cold, pretzel sticks hard. Sent back. Server forgot drinks so had to remind her , to busy talking with her friends than waiting tables. Salad came and 4 minutes later dinner came. Wife's Victoria filet mignon portabella came without the portabella and sauce. Sent back came back out 1... More

Went on Saturday around noon. Wasn't that crowded however I guess Outback trying to save money only had 2 staff members working the tables. So it took awhile to get everything. at the end I felt sorry for our waiter but I was irritated that we had to wait to get anything. Food was ok. Blooming Onion was slightly overcooked.... More

I thought it would be the same as longhorn; good, maintains same taste and quality yet nothing special, but Outback was different. The food is has more finesse and very tasty. The lamb rack is splendid! The service was on point, never had the feeling of being left out even if the restaurant was full. Very surprised and overall very... More

First let me say, the service was good, the waiter did a good job. The food quality is the problem. I had salmon with roast vegetables and the salmon was overcooked and not seasoned. The vegetables were fresh out of a freezer bag and microwaved to rather soggy and rubbery state. I have actually had frozen dinners from the supermarket... More

Very ordinary. Nothing special. Food was over spiced and pricy given portions. Atmosphere was noisy and not clean and tidy. Maitre de seated everyone together. Large families, couples, singles, big parties, etc. creating feeling of over crowdedness. Being bunched together in one side of restaurant suggested they were understaffed. As a result too much for one waitress. Outback has become... More

Went here with family. It was OK, nothing was really great. Probably the best restaurant in Warrenton, for what that's worth. Fish was over cooked. Onion was perfect.
