Stop here for the oyster appetizer--- fried w this good sauce. Some of the best oysters I've had. The falafel sandwich was ok. Very moist falafel balls and light on the sauce. My husband ordered the special restaurant salad and was unhappy that there wasn't any lettuce--- it's a salad right?!?

In town for business, was encouraged to have dinner at Black Bear. Nice location in historical district. Quickly seated, fast service, good food. The hard cider on tap was like drinking rose water, delicious.

Stopped here in March 2016 during a "girls only" weekend trip with my daughters and my oldest daughter's future mother-in-law. So glad we found this place. We were seated downstairs and let me just say, you are seriously missing out if you are seated upstairs! The atmosphere is awesome and the food is great. Service was great too. If you... More

We dropped by for my sister-in-law's birthday and ordered the fried oysters. They were absolutely delicious with light breading and cooked perfectly. My sister in law suggested the shrimp Po Boy. I have been to New Orleans at least 12 times and the Po Boy rivaled every one I've ever eaten. Staff was friendly and service was good. We'll go... More

Chose this place after being rained out of Twilight Polo and everyone wanted something different. Promptly sat our party of 5. Definitely a good crowd on a rainy Sat night. A little slow on the service for drinks and aps ordered but then the "negatives" stop. The fried green tomatoes were awesome as were the fried pickles (glad to see... More

We visited after church and had a great experience. The menu is extensive, from entrees to pizza, and the service is good. We'll be back.

Because we are vegetarians, my wife and I were enticed by the interesting menu that this restaurant offered. We were not disappointed! I wish there was a restaurant like this near us. We brought our son and his family who are all meat eaters and they were equally as satisfied. parking I a bit of a challenge, so make sure... More

Stopped for lunch. Mae's chix salad sandwich was yummy. Great drinks with an inspired menu selection. Coke slaw was super.
