Decided to give this restaurant a try after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was not that noteworthy. I order the bacon wrapped meatloaf, which was dry and burnt, mashed potatoes were lumpy and lukewarm, green beans had no flavor or seasoning. My...wife ordered the Salmon, which also had no flavor, vegetables were discolored and salad was basic salad with minimal added items. Sliders were just a plain patty with bread, nothing additional with it, no cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickles, mustard or ketchup. Not a restaurant that I would recommend. Just not worth the cost for below par food. Also, waitress was more interested being on her cellphone than to check on our service and if food was good. Kitchen staff brought out the food.More

You can see why this is a Tripadvisor Best. We came in on a busy Saturday afternoon and were immediately seated. Wonderful hostess. The food is beyond excellent. We had the chicken and waffles which is great and for dessert the Keylime pie. Highly recommend.

We mad a late lunch midweek at Denim and Pearls Tiffany took care of us very well and added plenty of local knowledge in response to our questions. Our burger ls and salads were delicious and took just a short time to come out.

We arrived early and were treated very well, but it stopped after that. Our waitress was pleasant and told us that the kitchen was behind and a longer wait was expected. We were ignored and had to hail down staff for our drinks, silverware and...further attention. During this time the noise level made casual talk almost impossible. Now comes the food. All terrible! The shrimp "po boy" was three burnt shrimp of questionable quality, the hamburger we ordered came well done when we ordered rare, due to acid reflux. Had to ask for the left-over french-fries, ketchup and then iced tea, that never did arrive. Our guests' food was no better. We all drove over an hour for this and will not consider returning. We were embarrassed since we recommended the Denim & Pearls to our friends.More

I got the apple & goat cheese salad, with salmon added, which was good, albeit a little small. It came with a creamy dressing (the menu said "white balsamic" but it looked more like caesar) so I asked for plain balsamic vinegar instead and got...red vinegar in a little plastic cup. Other issues: The table was dirty, with two blobs of food stuck to it right where our plates would go. Six women were celebrating at a nearby table and it was deafening, so if you want to hear your dining companions you may want to avoid the upper level, as there appears to be an acoustics issue. On the bright side, it was Mussels Monday, which looked like a great deal and was very popular, so if that's your thing, you may want to go on a Monday.More

This is another one of my favorite local restaurants. I have been here many times including around Christmas 2022. I was here in April 2023 with twelve family and friends including four children for a 5pm dinner reservation. We were seated on the first floor...right rear table to the right of the hallway leading to the restrooms. I enjoyed my two D&P Old Fashioned with Jefferson Pritchard Hill bourbon, chocolate mole bitters, spiced simple syrup, fresh orange peel and Amarena cherry for $15 each. We also shared and enjoyed the crispy calamari with spicy remoulade, lemon and fried cherry peppers for $13 and the crab and artichoke dip with lump crab meat, artichoke hearts, old bay bread crumbs, fontina cheese and baguettes for $19. I also enjoyed my sesame crusted 6 ounce tuna with vegetable rice noodles, plum sauce, pickled ginger and wasabi for $27. My tuna was perfectly cooked. I just wish they served 8 ounces of tuna rather than only 6 ounces and charged a little more for the extra 2 ounces of tuna. All of our food here was good as usual. My total bill was $516 including their large party automatic 20% gratuity of $79. The $17 VA state tax, $4 Fauquier, VA county tax and $24 (6%) town meals tax was also included. The current Warrenton Meals Tax Rate is 6%, effective July 1, 2022. The $24 (6%) Warrenton town meals tax is more than the combined $17 VA state and VA county tax of $4 or $21 total. I think the town of Warrenton is overcharging too much in taxes compared to the Fauquier, VA county and VA state tax. The total tax was $44 or an additional 11%. My gratuity of 20% and taxes of 11% totaled 31%. I know Washington DC charges 10.75% sales tax, but which is much less than 31%. That is understandable because of the larger DC city overhead. Is Warrenton overhead more than Washington DC? I don’t recall paying such high taxes in the past. I will investigate other nearby restaurants outside the town of Warrenton to avoid the Warrenton (6%) town meals tax. More to come after I learn more about what other restaurants in this area charge in meal taxes the next time I visit Warrenton, which may not be some time. I recommend others should post their opinion regarding Warrenton’s meals tax.More

We arrived right when they opened which was a good thing because they filled us quickly. The service was pretty good until I was still waiting at the table for someone to take my money while everyone else was outside waiting on me. I asked...a couple other employees to help and they rounded up my server who did not apologize. The food was good but nothing spectacular. The $10 mimosas were highway robbery. I would go back if my wife wanted to but not by my choice.More

We went to Denim & Pearls in Warrenton for dinner tonight with friends. What a lovely dining experience. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Our group ordered the baked brie and the fried pork belly for appetizers. It was very good especially...the baked brie. For dinners we ordered the beef short ribs, shrimp skewers, beef short rib pasta, and a wedge salad with beef skewer. And for dessert we ordered the bread pudding. Everything was yummy. Definitely a nice dining experience for all of us tonight at Denim & Pearls. I recommend giving them a try. 😊More

Happened upon this place while vacationing in Virginia after a day in Washington DC. Our waiter was excellent and the food even better. I was so disappointed the next day when I discovered I left my leftovers there! We must have gotten there just in...time as it appeared while we were eating those without reservations were not staying. And, this was a Monday night. So, you might want to reserve a table.More

The last time I was here with my family was back in April 2021. We returned here in December 2022 prior to Christmas with my family of seven with a dinner reservation at 6:30pm. When we arrived the restaurant was very busy with other customers...waiting to be seated including a customer in a wheelchair. We were seated downstairs at a nice table across from the bar. All other tables were occupied. It became evident that both the bar and food service were overwhelmed resulting in slower than our usual service. It could be a result of the Christmas season. I am not sure. I started with and enjoyed their D&P Old Fashioned signature cocktail for $15. It included Jefferson’s Pritchard Hill bourbon, chocolate mole, spiced simple syrup, fresh orange peel and amarena cherry. We shared and enjoyed their crispy spicy calamari with spicy remoulade, lemon and fried spicy cherry peppers for $13. I especially enjoyed the spicy cherry peppers. I also enjoyed my cajun shrimp and sausage pasta with peppers, onions, spicy creamy tomato sauce, basil, fettuccine and garlic bread for $26. My total bill was $292 less gratuity, which included a $15.72 meals tax, which I never noticed in the past. I assume the meals tax is due to inflation. Tyler A. served us although as I previously mentioned due to the restaurant’s staffing shortage his service was slower than normal. I don’t blame Tyler A. I blame the owner and restaurant manager. They are responsible to improve their customer service. I therefore, dropped my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars, which averages to 3.5 stars. Hopefully they can recover from their downturn. We will likely give them another chance.More

Several of us meet at a halfway point for Christmas lunch each year - this year we chose Warrenton. Based on several reviews (and the fact that it’s open on Mondays) we met at Denim and Pearls. It was an excellent choice. Our group has...a couple of picky eaters plus a foodie. The menu accommodated us all. Wonderful burgers, and the turkey, Brie, and apple sandwich was stellar. Emily was an enthusiastic and friendly server. We hope to go back soon!More
