Was very excited that my men's group was finally convinced to go back to Cafe Torino. We are a group of ten or so Christian men who get together every Thursday for dinner and fellowship. The last time we were there I thoroughly enjoyed the...food. They accommodated our group and were prepared for us with a great table. I ordered the flounder in marsala with mushrooms. I am not a pene fan so I ordered linguine. When it arrived I realized that it came with pene and with red sauce along side my marsala! I am sorry, but when you serve marsala you lay it on a bed of pasta and you do not mix red sauce and marsala. Unless served on a separate plate. I tried to get past it but when I tasted the marsala, it was sweet. I have never had marsala that was sweet before. So I approached the owner on the side, as not to make a scene, to express my disappointment. I was not rude but calmly explained the situation. She was defensive and argumentative defending their "excellent marsala". At this point I just told her that I wanted to make her aware, and I was not trying to get anything for free. I returned to the table and finished my meal upset at the lack of concern shown. After finishing up the chef appeared. In a bellowing voice so the whole Cafe could hear he asked "Who is the person complaining about the marsala? " I said I was. "I can take you in the back and show you I don't use sweet marsala!". This was COMPLETELY uncalled for and seemed only to serve to embarrass someone who dared complain about his cooking! I said clearly that until that point I was not upset. When they brought the bill, the price was hiked a dollar. When I complained about it the server asked why I was being rude! Can you believe that? I was planning on getting pastries to go, but by then I was done. I was the one who recommended this place to my men's group. I will never make that mistake again.More

We just went to Cafe Torino for the first time last month and enjoyed it so much we went back two weeks later! Great menu, weekly specials, great pastries and dessert and wonderful staff! Reservations highly suggested because they aren’t able to accommodate many walk-ins!

Excellent as always! Food tasty, nicely plated and superbly tasty. Service was prompt, friendly and informative. Enjoyed the bacon wrapped Brie/garlic butter prepared filet and the provolone spinach sun dried tomato veal. The chocolate hazelnut mousse melted over your taste buds imparting a delightful after...dinner sweetness and flavor. The owner/chef and owner/pastry chef are attentive and welcoming to all guests. Superb dining experience all around. Buon appetito!More

First visit, and at lunch. Had the linguine & meatballs. No presentation at all - which can be expected at lunch - and it looked and tasted like it came straight out of a can. Atmosphere - I don't think I saw one staff smile...nor exchange any pleasantries. Perhaps a different day and different meal would be better? Who knows. I think I'll spend my money elsewhere.More

Reasonable prices for nice Italian dushes, especially at lunch. Not fancy by any means but friendly and quick and always consistent. Quite a change at dinnertime. The restaurant transforms into a VERY good place for date night or a nice get away if you want...an authentic Italian meal at a good price. Menu is creative, portions are ample service is goodo. There are always nice pastries available for desert at dinner or for a treat after lunch with coffee (or cappuccino!)More

Stopped in for lunch as this place was recommended by friends. Nice atmosphere and the owner was very friendly. I wasn’t sure what I wanted but asked if Chicken Parmesan was a good choice. He said that was a bit mundane and at that time...the waitress behind him said “get the Marsala!” I was ok w that but the owner said, “do you like spinach?” I said yes, he said “you trust me?” I said of course! I took a seat and what came out was a chicken dish which actually was on his menu board: “Chicken w Mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes in a cream sauce “ The dish came w a small salad and two slices of focaccia bread. It was tasty but I wasn’t in the mood for such a rich, heavy dish at lunch! I should have stuck w the Chicken Parmesan idea! Oh well—he was trying to please me and that was nice. I will certainly return.More

We had not been here in over a year, so we decided to go recently on a Friday night. We made reservations, as we always do because they aren’t open very late (even on the weekends) and they always seem to fill up. Good thing...we did, because they filled up! The service we received was as amazing as it always is, including having the chef/owner come out to greet all the guests and chat in between preparing his amazing food. They have a decent wine list, which is very affordable. Their menu is varied, offering steak, seafood, many pastas, chicken, etc… and it’s all great! Save room for dessert, as they offer a really nice selection of freshly-made (in-house) desserts… check out their dessert case! We really enjoyed our visit and can’t wait to return!!More

The menu makes your mouth water, then when the food is delivered, it tastes as good as it sounded! Then, there's the desert choices! Yum on top of yum!

Although I still believe Cafe Torino has the best food in Warrenton, the rude behavior of the owners is just not worth it. My wife and I have been fiercely loyal supporters and patrons of Cafe Torino since it opened. We moved two years ago...and occasionally return to Warrenton to visit friends and take care of personal business. We always looked forward to returning to Cafe Torino and had planned on lunch and dinner there with friends. My wife and I met friends who didn’t know each other, so we sat at two different tables so we could enjoy lunch and “catch up”. I’m not sure if ‘familiarity breeds contempt’ applies here or not, but Andrea called to my wife and her friend from behind the counter, “I can’t believe you are taking two tables when I have customers waiting to be seated” Yes, many in the restaurant heard this. He repeated this to me and my friend when he brought our sandwiches. I was embarrassed and apologized, (although in retrospect, I had nothing to apologize for, ) and told him we would be happy to move. Rather than thanking us, he replied, “don’t bother, it’s too late now”. We moved anyway and sat with my wife and her friend. Later I called to cancel our party of six for that night and told Amber how Andrea had embarrassed us. He could have asked us quietly and politely if we would be willing to move. She simply defended him saying he shouldn’t have had to ask. I should have been aware of others waiting. I told her I was paying attention to the friend I hadn’t seen in two years, not the other patrons. I ended the conversation only to have Andrea call me on my cell phone moments later, not to apologize, but to chastise me again! So in an effort to accommodate two more patrons for lunch, Cafe Torino has lost five couples and their friends and family who will never return to the restaurant and a party of six for that evening and the revenue that would have brought in. In spite of the excellent food, the inexcusable way they treat customers is just not worth it.More
