We were working on a home and stopped for dinner here. About the only place in this quaint town to eat. Service was good and tabled spaced. To drink we had beer and lemonade. I had the pasta special, coleslaw and applesauce. Sister in law...had chicken fingers and fries while my husband had seafood, island house fries and green beans. Total $77.12. Kind of expensive and food was just okay. Would drive to get food next time.More

We have been wanting to stop for some time and finally had the opportunity. We enjoyed our visit very much and will stop again on our next trip from Florida. Food was excellent, came out hot and delicious. Had juicy fried oysters and wonderful crab...cake. Homemade coleslaw was very tasty. For dessert to die for Smith Island cake. Cake was so good we took extra piece home. Had friendly server Morgan.More

There are very few food options in this area, so we thought we'd give this place a try. They offer mostly seafood dishes but also some regular fare for those who don't like seafood. We really enjoyed the atmosphere watching the tide roll out while...eating. Our only complaint was the staff. Our waitress was fantastic, but a couple of the younger waitresses just stood around playing on their phones and giving snotty looks to others, so our waitress had to step in to pick up their slack. We would definitely stop here again.More

Visiting in the area after a two year absence. Although the famous Oyster Roast to benefit the Navy Seals wives could not happen this year, they are doing what they can to support the local community and the seals foundation. The locally sourced seafood is...still the best prepared on the eastern shore. My "Fisherman's Favorite" was a wonderful combination of fresh Flounder fillet and crab cake. The seafood here is absolutely worth the drive.More

Today my family and I came down Wachapreague and had a delicious meal at The Island House restaurant. We sat outside facing a beautiful view. They take all of the precautions for covid-19. The staff is so friendly and helpful here. They have the best...sweet potato biscuits ever! Everything I got was delicious. I can promise that whatever you get here will be so good. Overall I had the best time here and I would definitely recommend you come here. I also recommend that you get a sailboat too because they’re awesome!More

We were staying in Wachapreague for one night before continuing on our trip and The Island House was really the only place in town offering a full dinner with outside dining. We were seated immediately. Our server, Shirley was excellent on all accounts. The Seafood...Island House entree was superb as was the Bruschetta Chicken. I enjoyed the local draft beer while my wife quenched her thirst with pink lemonade. Food was cooked to order and served in a timely manner. COVID 19 protocols were being adhered to, which made for a comfortable dining experience for us older travelers. And to top it off, the view over the waters was serene.More

We stopped at this restaurant on the recommendation of our hotel concierge in Cape Charles, after a day checking out the horses at Chincoteague. It was a welcoming place, very good food. I had a variety of seafood appetizers, including oysters, calamari, clams and crab...dip which were all good. My husband had the flounder and crab, and he said it was the best flounder he every had. We were just visiting the Eastern Shore for the weekend, but would definitely stop by if we are in the area again.More

We were on the Eastern Shore for a day trip but before leaving to head back south, The Hubster decided he needed to come back to your restaurant where we had eaten a few years ago -- twice. After looking for any COVID restrictions and...feeling very confident, we tacked on an additional 30 minutes just to come for your seafood. We were not disappointed. The safety measures in place put us at ease. My crab cake and his seafood platter were exactly what we expected. The service was great. What else can I say other than it was excellent. Oh, and I could make a meal off those sweet potato biscuits!More

Off the beaten path but worth the trip. Excellent seafood, I prefer the flounder as it is always fresh. I eat here at least once a month. I always order seafood. Oyster parramore is a specialty and I highly recommend it. Fish and chips are...another good choice. Owner is an asset to community and has raised thousands of dollars for Navy Seal Foundation and other charities. I have been eating here for over 10 years and it is still one of my favorite restaurants on the Eastern Shore.More

Besides a beautiful location with large windows to watch out over the bay, the food and service was great. We had crab cakes, oysters, fish tacos, and steamed shrimp! Everything was excellent. We also had Smith Island cake for dessert! It was amazing! Our server...was attentive and helpful! We really had a great birthday celebration!More

Our apologies, Sage True, we will not have entertainment that weekend. We WILL be hosting a summer kickoff party May 24th on our deck with live entertainment and a cookout! We’d love to see you either or both dates!

My recollection is that Easter is about as busy as Mothers Day for them, so to be sure, they will be open.
