Gringos Taqueria, located near the Virginia Beach oceanfront, offers a variety of Baja style tacos, burritos, and much more. We use only the freshest ingredients in all of our traditional recipes – we don’t even have a freezer. Like fish tacos? (Mmmm our favorite!) We guarantee that our homemade habanero cream sauce will have your mouth watering for a second serving. Margaritas? Oh yeah, we got that too! We fresh squeeze our sour mix and mix it with freshly made simple syrup and top-shelf tequila to make our Baja style margarita. If you prefer, let us open your favorite domestic or import brew. Thanks to all of our lifelong locals!!

I had a spicy shrimp taco, and a fresh tuna taco. Both are generous portions. I absolutely love the pineapple salsa on the shrimp taco. The tuna Taco was very tender and delicious. Mine were both so juicy, that the flour tortilla fell apart. I ate the tuna taco with the remaining chips served at the beginning of the meal.
My husband had the carne asada Taco. He said it was absolutely delicious. the street taco which was also very good. Definitely A step above your regular Mexican restaurant. I would recommend eating here if you want a good dinner and very satisfied..the drink menu is extensive, and huge beer selection. Great place!

My family and I love this place and it's become a stop every time we visit VA beach. They have a wide variety of tacos, generous portions, and wonderful flavors. It's a tiny little place and we've had a wait each time we visit but it's totally worth it. You can order drinks at the bar for while you wait. The shrimp taco, street style pork taco, and pollo asada taco are all super yummy.

We saw all the awards that Gringos has won and had to try it while in VA beach. We got the classic margarita and the pork street taco! Holy moly they were so good. The drinks were perfectly balanced and the pork tacos were the best thing we ate on our whole vacation! We may have to find any excuse we can to come back to VA beach for these tacos alone lol. PS the complimentary chips and salsa were also amazing their made in house salsa was so so good. PPS the service was also on point!

This is a tiny little taco bar, only five tables with COVID restrictions. The food is excellent. There is a limited menu of Mexican food, and it all looked good. Prices for beer are very reasonable. Service was friendly and excellent. The bar has received awards for fish tacos. I did not try them, since I look for local fish. Come early and be prepared to wait a while, tables do turn over quickly. They do a good carry out business.
Parking is across the street, and there is no cross walk so be careful. Two other restaurants and a brewery share the same parking, another reason to come early.

Our hotel indicated that Gringo’s is a local favorite, so we had to try it! The margarita is aaaamazingly delicious, and the bonus is, beautiful as well! And a great bargain too! I had the street taco and shrimp taco, which were both delicious. I didn’t order the beans and rice, but when I tasted hubby’s, they were so delicious! This place is a little hole in the wall, but the service is friendly and good! Highly recommend!

This was our 2nd time dining at Gringos and they have the best Tacos in Va Beach for sure! Its a tiny little place, colorfully decorated with a very friendly server group. Their chips and salsa are excellent! Every taco that we have tried has been phenomenal. Get there before 5pm or you will probably be waiting...or just order ahead and pick it up. We recommend dining in if you can for the full experience. We will be back... again & again & again!!

I went to Virgina Beach fir the first time to celebrate my birthday. We wanted to have Mexican food so we found Gringo’s Tequeria online. We saw it was rated highly so that was our choice. Great idea! The food was so delicious! It was freshly made & hot. Wonderful customer service! We will definitely recommend this place.

Great Baja Fish tacos and marguerita!
Also delicious salsa. It was a bit off the beaten track but worth finding. Staff very friendly.

Absolutely the best in town!! Small but mighty taste. The salsa is to die for!!! Everything we ordered was phenomenal and if I could eat that salsa and queso everyday, I'd be a happy chica!! A must visit .

I was amazed at how much food I received, I ordered nachos and a orange chicken burrito and ended up having to save the burrito for later because the nacho appetizer was just so massive. I love how this place doesn’t short you on food. It was money well spent and my stomach was very happy.

A very small restaurant with only a few tables. The tables are socially distant. I ordered a shrimp taco and a chicken taco, which I consumed while sipping on tequila. Good service. An enjoyable meal.

We took a chance and lunched at a restaurant that is not at all fancy, and I'm glad we did. It is a small place with good service and tasty Mexican food. The price was delightfully low. We were pleased.

I bought a takeout dinner that was almost as good as thr onrs I've had in the restaurant. Thr only thing missing was Gringo's ambiance. It will be nice to enjoy a sit down meal at the restaurant again.
