Lager heads is right on the boardwalk in hotel. Great location and outside seating is great. Service was subpar but worse is the tasteless food. Fried chicken sandwich was great looking. Presentation was first in the cooks mind and taste was second. It was cooked...perfectly but zero taste. No seasoning no excitement. Also got the loaded fries and again looks are deceiving. No salt not taste very perplexing when so much effort was put into the food to look good.More

This became our favorite late-night stay while we were in Virginia Beach. I thought the burgers were really tasty. The service was great. The prices were reasonable. Loved the music. The views were great. Two easily fixable issues. First, as was mentioned previously in some...other reviews, hostesses were not doing a good job of sitting people. We got our text that our table was ready and then waited while the hostess took down drink orders for someone waiting in line. Second, the pillows and couches need to be freshened up or discarded. Smelled a little moldy, and when sitting on the couch felt uncomfortably low to eat on the table. Finally switched it out for a chair.More

Amazing food and service. My husband and I ordered nachos, salads and a mahi sandwich and split everything. It was a ton of food, everything was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend eating here.

I was low key disappointed with this restaurant. For a place that sells a lot of burgers, the presentation is on point but the meat itself has very little flavor. My daughter had the crab cakes and Mac n cheese and finished both, so that’s...a positive. We waited for a table for 20 min. though we saw several empty ones. There were several servers working the floor, though the service itself was very slow. The chicken sandwich I ordered was awful, rubbery, burnt, and not edible. The menu didn't have much...variety and the waiter made some backhanded comment as to how we didn't order the more expensive dishes. Probably to indicate this meant a smaller tip for him. Instead of worrying about himself, he should worry about making the customers happy so this place doesn't lose business. I saw several tables of customers that were angry about slow service. Restaurants along the boardwalk all seem to have the same foods...greasy, blackened sandwiches and only mahi for fish dishes. Disappointing and overpriced lunch.More

Ate here twice during our visit as so many of the other restaurants were so understaffed and reservations were hard to come by. We were able to sit right away at Lagerheads our first and only had a short wait due to the thunderstorms the...second. Service was excellent and quick both times. My wife raves about her crab cakes, my burger was good, and we both had the Cobb salad round two that was fresh, delicious, and huge. I’d highly recommend stopping here!More

Watched the outside host and another staff member take selfies while waiting for a table(9pm) There were unbussed tables right behind them. Decided, after almost an hour, to go inside for a table. Inside hostess lovely. Seated next to a big fan(odd, but OK) and...waited for a while for our server, who seemed like she was ready to go home(again, understandable, but shake it off, for the customer). Took our drink order, dropped them off, and then said she'd be back to get our order, even though we were ready to order. We waited 5-7 minutes, curious to where she went. We looked around but couldn't find her. It was strange and uncomfortable, and the vibe was off, so we rolled without ever seeing her and without ordering food. Maybe it was a bad night, but it definitely turned us off from ever returning.More

When waiting for an outdoor table, I got skipped over, even after I told the host that I had gotten there first. Too much miscommunication between the two host there also. BTW, the indoor seating was pretty hot essentially next to the heat lamps.

Excellent service, food, and local brews! We stop here at least once every year on our VA Beach vacation. This year our wait was less than in the past, but we visited a week later than usual.

Great food and drink. The greens are great and the burgers are large and juicy. They also have a great selection of beers.

First of all even sitting inside its hotter than Hades. All the doors are open and there is really no air circulating inside. Food, like most food at the beach, is overpriced for what you get. Wife got a salad which was good and I...got a classic burger which was cold. Waitress consistently didn't come back and we would have to ask someone else to find her so that we could get refills. All and all it was fine for what it was but will not go back.More
