While on vacation in Virginia Beach we tried Pocahontas Pancake, waffle shop. Our waitress was amazing 👏. Very attentive to our dinning pleasure. Food was outstanding and other wait staff super friendly as was the manager. We rarely give 5 stars but this was outstanding....We really had a great visit and will be back when able. Great job.More

I would eat here again and I would recommend this restaurant to others. My first impression and the main reason for only 4 stars, I entered the restaurant and waited to be seated as the sign stated. Two groups came in after me, but were...put on the list and given pagers before I was acknowledged. The wait was only 15 minutes. After I was seated the experience was much better. The waitress had a great personality and made me laugh on a couple occasions. Once I ordered she took a moment to let me know that the Monte Cristo sandwich I ordered wasn't made the traditional way and didn't want me to be disappointed without telling me first. She was very busy with all of the other tables and still made sure my coffee was full and my needs were met. My meal definately was not a traditional Monte Cristo. Instead of deep frying the sandwich the crust was french toast. I thought it had a great flavor, although, I would have liked to have raspberry jam with it.More

My wife and I have been visiting Virginia Beach for a week in April for the last five years, and after the first trip of trying various breakfast places, we only eat breakfast at Pocahontas. The menu selection is large and well varied. The food...is always consistently excellent. The service is great. We had eggs Benedict, various omelettes, and the Pocahontas French toast special this past week. We look forward to our breakfasts after a morning run on the boardwalk.More

We had the absolute pleasure of having "Ashley" as our waitress today, for our first time ever to this restaurant. She was so helpful, extremely accommodating, and just as pleasant and sweet as possible, while still taking care of all her other patrons! Very impressed...by her, which made the whole visit really nice! Huge menu. So many choices and " combinations" that I had a hard time deciding, but she helped me out and I settled on the steak omelet with pancakes for my side. Hubby went with the combo platter of eggs, bacon, sausage, 1/2 belgian waffle, and 1 slice French toast. We shared to get a taste of everything and both he and I BOTH thought it was ALL delicious! I really liked the French toast as not "sicky sweet" like some places serve with those coated " French toast sticks". This was just right, and Ashley added an EXTRA dash of cinnamon to my side of french toast we ordered " to go" . So now we already have a full breakfast ready for tomorrow morning, as it was all SO "good and plenty" ! The omelet had fresh, (not canned ,) mushrooms, really good steak chunks that were well flavored, green peppers, as well as fresh chopped tomatoes and cheese on the side of the omelet, and it was OH, so YUMMY! The restaurant is only open until 1pm, and , with COVID19, seating is well spread out, so we felt safe and comfortable while there. 15 minute wait at 11:30am because of seating blocked off to keep social distancing, but I used that time to go over the varied menu. LOTS of choices, and NOT just breakfast foods, either, as they also serve lunch items so wraps, cibatta sandwiches, hamburgers, club and grilled cheese sandwiches , Reubens , corned beef, chicken sandwiches, fried chicken/ fried shrimp baskets, fries, etc, etc, etc! Also healthy options like egg whites vs whole eggs, turkey sausage or bacon, low sodium ham, turkeyburgers, gluten free choices, low cholesterol cheese, sugar free options, fresh fruits, etc. Good coffee !! They have been featured on both Food Network AND in Southern Living Magazine as " best breakfast on the beach!" We will definitely go again, as we enjoyed everything we tried, and I would love to try their lunch items next trip!More

Decided to walk down the block and see what I could find for breakfast, 45 min wait = I would wait longer for the quality and service. Frank was awesome and only a hand motion away. Food=Delish, Home fries had just enough onion flavor to...make me want another side order and the omelet was perfect. Personally, I would like a bigger coffee mug but just wave at Frank and it is filled!!!!!More

Everything tasted wonderful, the staff was very attentive. The restaurant is a good location. In an effort to try other places we went somewhere else the next day and we were disappointed. This place is a solid A+

Pocahontas was recommended for us to try on our trip to Virginia Beach. I’m glad we ended up going it was not busy at all when we went I’m guessing due to COVID and the snow they had the few days before. The breakfast was...good a little pricey for a diner but that’s expected right across the the beach in a tourist area. We will go back next time we are in town.More

Great little breakfast place with great service and good prices just across the street from beach. Unassuming location and building but fast.

If you use Google Maps and type in Pacahontas Pancake House in Virginia Beach it says the hours of operation are 7:00am - 1:00pm daily. Enjoy!

Very reasonable for a breakfast on the strip. About 20 bucks for two and you got a ton of food.
