My French Dip with accompanying onion rings was very good. My wife had the appetizer portion of fried oysters along with sweet potato fries and Cole slaw. Extensive collection of draft beers. Service was friendly and efficient.

Abbey Road has been open for many many years. It is located on the north side of 22nd street, in the middle of the block, between Atlantic and Pacific Avenues, one block west of the oceanfront. We ordered Delmonico steak and seafood scampi. We are accustomed to a thick Delmonico steak in New York. This Delmonico steak at Abbey Road... More

Stopped for a late lunch while visiting Virginia Beach. Their English Pub decor was a pleasant surprise on a beach. The menu is varied and it took a while to decide on our order of Fish and Chips for me and the Bungalow Bill's BBQ Burger for my husband. As there appeared to be only one server, service was on... We ate here on a weekend getaway. The restaurant has nice ambiance. We had the appetizer sampler (potato skins, mozzarella sticks, and chicken tenders) and it was very good. The wife had steak and I had shrimp. Everything was very good. The service was okay. For the lack of customers the service could have been a little quicker. But all... More

Dinner was a disaster. They claim to have the best gluten free menu in the city. Ordered a French Dip with gluten free roll. The roll was thick and dry. Even dipping it did not help much. There are better bread products out there! Talk to Whiskey Jack's! Or try toasting the roll! Expected a 'piled-high' layer of roast beef... More

We were looking for somewhere within walking distance of our hotel with a nice beer selection. We decided on Abbey Road. Great tap beer selection. My wife had the Jerk Chicken and I had the Vegetable Stir Fry. The food was good, but the service was lacking. The waitress disappeared after bringing our drinks and taking our order. Shge also... Came for dinner and food was ok. When we came out we found our car had been vandalized from presumably kids. When we asked the valet who was sitting a few cars over from ours he never saw anything but his phone . We were sent inside and told owner was out of town and we could leave a message,... More

Came here after we were told there was a 45 minute wait at another local restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the crab soup and steak with mashed potatoes and pumpkin cheesecake for desert. My mouth is watering just writing about it.

Description
It was twenty years ago today, Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play..." and it was almost thirty four years ago today when the bands began to play, right here at Abbey Road. Owner Bill Dillon has been bringing the best in great food and live entertainment to the residents and visitors of Tidewater since 1982. Our fresh seafood, beef, and pasta dishes are summed up by The Virginian Pilot's reviews: "Abbey Road Leads Diners to a Satisfying Evening (1983)" and "Abbey Road is a great pub in the midst of a tourist location. For locals it is well worth the trip any time of the year (2008)." Hampton Road's Port Folio Magazine says: "Abbey Road is the Best Acoustic Venue in Tidewater, offering the best and the most variety..." After three years in the food service industry Bill decided in the fall of 1982 to open his own restaurant in the resort area of Virginia Beach. Heavily influenced by the Beatles when growing up, thanks to his two older sisters who listened to their records all the time, he decided to name it 'Abbey Road' after the last album the Beatles recorded (although 'Let It Be' was the last released) before they split up in 1970 (thanks, Yoko). Many national, regional, and local musicians have performed at Abbey Road since 1982, including: Richie Havens - the man who opened Woodstock, Ronee Blakely - toured with Bob Dylan, Livingston Taylor - James' brother, The Ventures -theme from Hawaii Five-O, Rick Roberts of Firefall, - wrote & sang many of their #1 hits, Robert Hunter of The Grateful Dead, Robbin Thompson & The Robbin Thompson Band, Gove Scrivener, Lewis McGehee - toured with Bruce Hornsby, Lisa Noel, Mike Proffit & The Mike Proffitt Band, David Petretto, Keller Williams, Suzy & The Naturals, Catapult, T.K. Llegs, Acoustic Ceiling, Chuck 'Coyote' Larson & Robbie House & Norman Harrell of Snuff, and many, many more...
