Dinner was a disaster. They claim to have the best gluten free menu in the city. Ordered a French Dip with gluten free roll. The roll was thick and dry. Even dipping it did not help much. There are better bread products out there! Talk to Whiskey Jack's! Or try toasting the roll! Expected a 'piled-high' layer of roast beef... More

We were looking for somewhere within walking distance of our hotel with a nice beer selection. We decided on Abbey Road. Great tap beer selection. My wife had the Jerk Chicken and I had the Vegetable Stir Fry. The food was good, but the service was lacking. The waitress disappeared after bringing our drinks and taking our order. Shge also... Came for dinner and food was ok. When we came out we found our car had been vandalized from presumably kids. When we asked the valet who was sitting a few cars over from ours he never saw anything but his phone . We were sent inside and told owner was out of town and we could leave a message,... More

Came here after we were told there was a 45 minute wait at another local restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the crab soup and steak with mashed potatoes and pumpkin cheesecake for desert. My mouth is watering just writing about it.

I have been coming here since, and I'm guessing, 1980? I always liked the beer selection, the reliable hours, open all year and the location. The last couple times, the oysters have been so small. In addition, the service is also bad. We had a good coupon this time, so we went. We ordered 2 dozen steamed oysters. That took... More

We ate lunch here. I thought they had very good varied menu. I had a Penny Lane sandwich which was eggs, cheese and sausage with hash browns. My wife had spinach and crabmeat and artichoke type spread on sliced toasted French bread. My daughter had a grilled chicken with cheese and bacon sandwich. We also had an appetizer of potato... The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the menu was pretty short, and they were out of several things when we tried to order. The service was also very slow once we had placed an order. Didn't live up to expectations

Abbey Road restaurant has a lot of Beatles memorabilia. We arrived and the restaurant was crowded: we were told 5 minute wait the turned into 30 with lots of open tables and booths and we were told "we don't have any menus so we can't seat you just yet". Do you believe a restaurant that runs out of menus. This... More

Great place for dinner! Everything was cooked to order. It was in walking distance from our hotel. All of our meals were fantastic prime rib, steak, shrimp and dessert was the bomb! It was so good on our last night in VB we got dinner to go, simple but delicious!! We'll be back next year for sure. Thanks!!

It was twenty years ago today, Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play..." and it was almost thirty four years ago today when the bands began to play, right here at Abbey Road. Owner Bill Dillon has been bringing the best in great food and live entertainment to the residents and visitors of Tidewater since 1982. Our fresh seafood, beef, and pasta dishes are summed up by The Virginian Pilot's reviews: "Abbey Road Leads Diners to a Satisfying Evening (1983)" and "Abbey Road is a great pub in the midst of a tourist location. For locals it is well worth the trip any time of the year (2008)." Hampton Road's Port Folio Magazine says: "Abbey Road is the Best Acoustic Venue in Tidewater, offering the best and the most variety..." After three years in the food service industry Bill decided in the fall of 1982 to open his own restaurant in the resort area of Virginia Beach. Heavily influenced by the Beatles when growing up, thanks to his two older sisters who listened to their records all the time, he decided to name it 'Abbey Road' after the last album the Beatles recorded (although 'Let It Be' was the last released) before they split up in 1970 (thanks, Yoko). Many national, regional, and local musicians have performed at Abbey Road since 1982, including: Richie Havens - the man who opened Woodstock, Ronee Blakely - toured with Bob Dylan, Livingston Taylor - James' brother, The Ventures -theme from Hawaii Five-O, Rick Roberts of Firefall, - wrote & sang many of their #1 hits, Robert Hunter of The Grateful Dead, Robbin Thompson & The Robbin Thompson Band, Gove Scrivener, Lewis McGehee - toured with Bruce Hornsby, Lisa Noel, Mike Proffit & The Mike Proffitt Band, David Petretto, Keller Williams, Suzy & The Naturals, Catapult, T.K. Llegs, Acoustic Ceiling, Chuck 'Coyote' Larson & Robbie House & Norman Harrell of Snuff, and many, many more...
