I almost always get the Palak Paneer because it is my favorite! And the papadum (lentil chips.) I often eat here with friends on Sunday afternoons - they LOVE the buffet, but I prefer the less spicy version so I order off the menu. There are vegetarian and vegan options. The restaurant is in the Hilltop area of Virginia Beach,... More

I recently visited the restaurant on our group trip to Virginia and it was a painful experience. The manager agreed on call for us to come in as they were not taking reservation on phone, on arrival he denied stating they are out of food and can only give take out...this was a surprise no food but they can give... Solid Indian food. Very busy in the evening because it is the only Indian place with proximity to VA Beach but food is great and servers try very hard especially since majority of customers are overly demanding native Indians. Authentic to the point they automatically ask if you want onions and chillies on the side without you having to ask/know-the-secret... More

Went here for the first time and loved it! Decent prices and very good food. The garlic naan is amazing! The drinks were also very tasty and strong but not too strong. Service was very attentive and professional. Definitely going back.

The service was excellent, the meals delicious and the menu extensive. We tried several new dishes and all were sumptuous. Don't miss an opportunity to eat here if you are in the area, we wish we lived close by because we would eat here every week!

I went here for date night with my boyfriend and we agreed that it was one of the top 5 dining experiences we've had in Virginia Beach (probably higher than that). We did the garlic naan as an appetizer (yum!!) and the kebab sampler. I did the mixed grill as my entree. I have no idea what was in the... More

I feasted on the saagwalla (?) with lamb. The flavoring was subtle and devine. There was a roasted, delicate light brown sauce that was slightly different from any other versions I have tried. My friend enjoyed lamb Rogan Josh. Again the sauce was the sauce was finely sliced. A tomato flavor that still allowed the spices to show off. The... More

We go to Nawab for lunch practically every time we go to Norfolk (about once a month). Everything in the buffet is good, and there must be at least ten dishes to choose from. The same family runs the Nawab in Williamsburg, which is just as good. And they presumably do the one in Newport News as well.

Nawab has an excellent selection of menu options. This location is is misleading, for some reason it looks like it is closed when it really is open. All of the food has that rich taste of India and they can always spice a plate up for you if you like it Indian hot. The food is reasonably priced and will... More
