This place is very good for pick up or delivery. If you eat in, you will choke down your food. It is like you need a rewards card to get a refill. And the tables are sticky, even after a wipe down of the surface. Disappointing, but good carry out.

Very depressing inside...looks as it it needs a real good cleaning and upgrading. Pizza did not taste Italian and salad was limp.

We had our pizza delivered. It arrived barely warm. It appeared to be low on toppings. Pizza it self was not bad, however there are too many places with a great pizza to settle for average.

This is not the anticipated when we ordered the family pizza. Regardless the no refund or new pizza to compensate left a worse taste in my mouth than the hairy pizza , just please try another pizza place.

Truly awful they didn't bring all my meal 2 hours later still waiting for food I talked to the manager he keeps telling me anytime now and still nothing. Their customer service totally sucks I would rate below zero. But don't have that option food that i did get was awful. Recommend anywhere but here

They have an extensive menu with something for everyone. Prices are very reasonable and delivery is available. The servings are very generous, i had a pasta dinner and i was able to make 2 meals out of it. The food is well prepared and very tasty

Don't even bother with this place. I ended up canceling my order due to the terrible service and clueless and uncaring behavior of the employees.

Ordered 3 stomboli's last night for pickup. Drove home and only had two in the box. Called and was advised they would make up another one that would be ready in 10 minutes. They did not know where their driver was so we had to pick it up again. Got home and one Stromboli had barbecue chicken in it. The fresh made strom was not cooked and had raw dough in it. Went back again and demanded money back. Was advised they could not credit the credit card. Gave cash instead.
What a complete disaster. Waitress could not recall what had originally been ordered and indicated to the manager it was because she was on medication. Although they are close to our home, we will not be giving them any business in the future.

We live in Chesapeake, Va. We also pass Sal's many times going to Virginia Beach. A few years ago my wife said we should try some pizza at Sal's. Now it's our normal stop. Last week we spent on vacation in a beach house in VA Beach. Every day during that week we were at Sal's Pizza. Pizza, Stromboli's, Calzones, Salads and Deserts and more. Next week we have to go to the Oceana Naval Air Base in VA Beach, guess where we are stopping on the way back home 'SAL'S PIZZA"! Try their Lunch Specials.

I have passed this place several times on the way to the beach. My wife isn't a big pizza fan so we never stopped. She finally gave in and we really liked it. She even bought a pizza for herself one a few weeks later. Never has that happened before.
We got the deluxe and replaced the pepperoni with meatballs.

What a surprise! Have ordered twice, pizza first then eggplant parm & lasagna entrees with a side of meatballs & sausage. Perfect crust with a sauce to die for. Both entrees the same. The meatballs were HomeMade not made with the stuff others call meat. Large portions, can't wait to reheat, I'm sure it will be even better. By far our new favorite! We used the Portsmouth location....newly opened 1204 Airline phone 757-673-3950.

Stopped in for some pizza. It was good. I wish I'd got the deal this other reviewer got. I did not see that deal. We had 3 slices (big slices), 4 drinks, 2 fries and a huge salad for about $32.

We were told this is like NY pizza. I have to agree it was better than some NY pizza. We had the pepperoni pizza. It was Hot lots of cheese and pepperoni and the crust was great. A good value Large pie dozen wings and liter of soda for $20. fed 4ppl.
