The Promenade is a good place to eat and fish. There are two very good restaurants in the area (Rockefellers and Rudees). If you want to take a commercial fishing trip, there are boats available. Eventually, this will become a prized area for tourists. Plans...are in the works to add amenities to this great inlet. Rumor has it, there's a pirate ship afloat, too! It's a little bit off the typical tourism spots (i.e. boardwalk and large hotels).More

The beach was limited to boring buildings (hotels) which are out of date. Being there out of season meant uncrowded, but very little to choose from for entertainment.

Because bikes and other cycles have their own track along the promenade, you can safely enjoy your walk along the beachfront without being worried about crashing into cyclists or anything. Its a lovely walk dotted with ice cream vendors, hot dog stands and seafood restaurants.

Very nice array of shops and services. But the highlight is always Aldo's Ristorante. We make regular visits. Excellent food quality and consistency. Outstanding service and staff. Try the chicken francaise. It is excellent. Great open and friendly atmosphere.

We went off season so it was on the quieter side, worth a visit!
