Stayed at a rental house in Sandbridge. Came down for the airshow at Oceana and a beach vacation. The food is pretty good but the pizza...surprise! Really good! One of their signature drinks, "trashcan"? The blue/green one with the red bull can on top....turned out...to be a favorite. If you're staying at Sandbridge there aren't that many dining out options unless you want to head inland. You'll probably try the Sandbridge Island Restaurant at least once. Get the pizza, it's really good.More

I took the family for dinner, as my girlfriend had heard how great the food was. First off, we were there in mid July. It was in the mid 90's outside, and the air conditioning was non-existent. Our waitress was a very sweet young lady,...and she was very attentive. Unfortunately, when we tried to order appetizers, we were advised that about half of the menu was unavailable......this was at 5:30 in the afternoon. Not a great start. The beverages were warm, and the place was infested with flies. I mean, I've seen fewer flies on the manure pile on a horse farm. It was NOT an enjoyable experience. Very disappointing.More

My family and I were staying in Sandbridge Sanctuary Condos for the week and thought we would give this restaurant a try since it was close. We were pretty disappointed. I got the steamed seafood platter which was good but the shrimp were over cooked,...the crab legs weren’t very fresh and the clams seemed to be under cooked. My family got the brisket French dip which was very dry and tough, cold fish and chips and mediocre chicken Alfredo. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend their food. However the service was great!More

Went here with 3 kids (15, 13, 8) for dinner. Great selections on the menu since 3 kids can be so picky. And we had a vegan adult. Everyone left satisfied: fries, onion rings, oysters, Buffalo shrimp, tuna tacos, cole slaw, pizza (really really good...for a seafood location), veggie burger, Caesar salad with grilled salmon. Yep, everyone was happy!More

My sister and I were here in August. It was a nice dining experience. There was a good selection of food and drinks. I enjoyed eating here when I visited Sandbridge Island.

If you are looking for a warm, friendly atmosphere, staff who are attentive and accommodating, and food so good you will want to come back for more, then the Sandbridge Island Restaurant is the place for you! This was the first place we ate at...upon our arrival in town, with our 4 year old and the seafood was so good that we came back another night and ordered the same thing just to make sure that it was really as good as we remembered! The fried oysters and scallops were so fresh and juicy! All of the staff were so friendly and engaging with our daughter. This is definitely our favorite place in town!More

We decided to order pizza/sandwiches after our 8 hr drive to the island. Due to the number of restaurants closed and or short staffed we took the time to check the websites rather than depending on the paper take out menus in the rental house...binder. After finally rangling the order from the house members, I called to place a take out order....only to be told "we dont have any items from the grill." What?! Its Sat night in peak season. We changed the order to all pizza out of sheer exhaustion and frustration at this point. Could have received 3 stars but the pizza was basically think crust and tasteless. Equiv to Little Caesars so only 2 stars.More

Went here on a rainy June 3 side trip for an early dinner. Not fancy, just a nice beach bar and restaurant. Both the She Crab soup and Hatteras clam chowder were excellent! Flavorful and loaded with crabmeat, clams, and stuff. The fried Seafood Sampler...was very good, but the crabcake was not as large or seasoned as I would have liked. The Broiled Flounder topped with Crab Imperial was also very good. Service was just great. This place is definitely worth the trip to Sandbridge Beach.More

Had a very nice walk on the beach but we were very thirsty. We say a little restaurant beside where we had parked and it looked like they had a walk up window. So we walked up and ordered two sodas. The girl told us...if we just wanted drinks we would have to come inside to the bar. We did but there were no seats in the bar so we stood and waited about 10 minutes, the bar tender finally asked us what we wanted. When we told her we just wanted to get a drink she told us she would only serve us drinks if we ordered food. When I told her that the young lady at the window told us we had to come to the bar. She blew up and said that since the girl at the window was only 15 she didn’t know the alcohol laws. I told her we were not looking for alcohol we only wanted a soft drink but that we would find a convent store. We left.More

We had read such great reviews so my husband and I decided before taking a party of 8 to have dinner there. So glad we went so that the rest of our family wouldn’t be so upset as we were. We both had the clam...chowder. It said it had plenty of clams in the chowder ..very little pieces of clams were found. My husband had the flounder with slaw and a side salad. He told the waitress he was highly allergic to lobster, crab and shrimp. They delivered his meal with shrimp on his plate. Then they brought the dish back with only the fish and slaw. He almost chocked with the number of bones in the flounder and he never got his salad. I had the steamed clams and the crab cakes dinner. The clams were ok but really had no taste. The crab cakes were 90% fillers and dry. The green beans were so over cooked. We left so disappointed but happy we hadn’t taken the rest of the family.More

Locals type restaurant with seafood and more. Small outdoor eating area where you can look at the pretty dunes. Right next to free public parking and large parking lot at restaurant. Convenience store attached to restaurant. Had crab cakes and quesedillas - both good. Very...nice staff and good service. Very casual place and casual attire.More

For our COVID escape vacation, we planned to cook in every night, but first night carry out pizza and a 2:00 Friday lunch were at Sandbridge Restaurant. Highly recommend. The pizza was great and reasonably priced. For lunch, the oysters rockefeller were the best I've...ever had. Others dining enjoyed the steamed clams and clam strips. Mandy was our server and she was top notch - friendly and efficient.More
