We used to go here when we lived in Virginia Beach in 2006-2012. We visited in February 2017 and found the restaurant was as good as ever. Be prepared for a lot of food when you order a sandwich. I used to come here for the mammoth Reuben, but today I tried the Club sandwich. Awesome-huge sandwich filled with 1... More

Wow, we were told that Route 58 delicatessen was good but never expected what we found. The sandwich the Reuben that is, was unbelievable, piled high with tender juicy corned beef and pastrami fresh sauerkraut and swiss cheese. I mean to tell you it had to of been eight inches high. My wife and I split it with a side... More

Wife and I went for lunch and had the Super Ruben and red skinned potato salad which we split. All was excellent. Service was good. A bit pricey for lunch @$38. Definitely worth a visit.

After hearing so many good things, we finally made it to Route 58 Deli today. We should not have waited so long! Wow! The service was amazing. Made to feel so welcome. Offered samples of freshly sliced pastrami...which melts in your mouth. Had the classic Reuben and the Reuben Twins...all the Reuben fixings atop homemade potato pancakes. Beyond words...delicious. The... More

We were here on a Sat. afternoon. Riley was our server. She did a great job. You are encouraged to share your meals, as the portions are so large you could feed a whole Korean family! We had the Reuben Sandwich...and had enough for two plus leftovers. We also got a piece of the chocolate truffle cheesecake, also enough for... More

I first visited Route 58 back when they were pretty close to Oceana, and was hooked on their Reuben's immediately. Having been back several times, and each and every time I return home to Va Bch I cannot recommend this place more. This is the de facto Reuben in my opinion. Everything it should be, and done in a place... More

This place was recommended to us by friends of ours in Virginia Beach. My husband and I thought we would try it on our way out of town. We should have gone while we were still in town for a day or two. The atmosphere is fabulous. There were signs with sayings that made us laugh because my husband and... More

Food was a little pricey, but was enough to share. One pound sandwich was enough for three people. I'll go back next time I'm in the area.

Great place. The deli food is spot on and very enjoyable. Just note: the portions are HUGE! If you are coming with someone look to split an order of fries or desert, etc. Ask for a sample of the meats if you are not sure. This is a place that I would encourage you to "sample from the menu". Again,... More

We went to Route 58 Deli for lunch. The portions were ridiculously large and the pricing was equally high. Nice decor, loved the various photos, Probably would not visit again but it was worth a one time trip.Lunch was $40 for two!
