We came last year to celebrate our anniversary and came back this year because we loved it so much. This time we had the corn bisque and clam gnocchi to start. The gnocchi is uncomparable as I have never had better, ever. Made on site, if it's on the menu, order it. We had the duck and filet for our... More

We ate here for the first time in a number of years for an anniversary treat.Absolutely no complaints about the food quality and service, but found the atmosphere to be a little "stiff" ( I wanted to use the "pretentious " ,but maybe that's too strong)The maitre D wasn't at all welcoming and our waiter, despite meeting all our needs, had no sense... What a wonderful dinner. Great ambiance, quiet, romantic, all around great experience. Don't be shy. Try something you've never had before. My partner for the rabbit, something I've had before at other places and did not like, and it was wonderful. We got appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts. It was all very good.

My husband was looking for a nice romantic place for dinner and The Cellars turned up in his search. It was wonderful. I had the rack of lamb and my husband had the hanger steak. I left it up to the waiter to select a wine to compliment my meal and it was perfect. The restaurant has a lot of... More

Don't get me wrong, this is a nice dinner spot. And the food is good...however it has i believe become a bit overrated. Particularly since being recently visited by a couple of celebrities. My wife and i were seated in the "overbooked" area. and The first thing that i noticed was the old discolored ceiling tiles above our table. I... More

The restaurant is literally in the cellar. The staff was very courteous and friendly. It is recommended to make reservations because seating is limited. The food was delicious. We ordered the lamb and flank steak. Both exceeded our expectations. The menu is very limited and my husband did not like the restaurant as much as I did; however, I write... More

My wife and I planned a get-away in Virginia Beach for one night and wanted to go to a great restaurant for dinner. I searched Trip Advisor for some ideas and came upon The Cellars. It was highly rated, so I contacted a friend who lives in Virginia Beach to get his ideas. He confirmed that he thought that The... More

This was our second trip to The Cellars. We met friends we hadn't seen in 3 years for dinner. We were greeted enthusiastically and went to the bar to await our guests. The bartender was excellent and mad 2 amazing martinis. I asked him if he could make a Moscow Mule and later he prepared the first Moscow Mule I... More

We joined some friends for dinner recently and can only repeat what other 5 star reviewers have already said. It's a very lovely bed & breakfast in a neighborhood setting with The Cellars downstairs as a bonus! Like so many other reviewers have already said, Lorenzo was our waiter and did a most admirable job describing the menu and making... More

Upon entering, we were greeted warmly by the manager and seated at a cozy table in the main dining room. The manager recommended Foradori for a glass of red wine and it's one of the best I've ever tasted! Our server Josh was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive and made my experience memorable. I started with the Ahi Tuna Nicoise. The... More
