The place is small but comfortable, the food was good.. the kabobs, bread, rice were all good and authentic ... but the glasses smelled😑 The waitresses aren't professional nor nice.. but overall was good .. especially if u r looking for good kabob and don't care about the rest.

This is very much a local restaurant even though it's in the middle of Tyson's Corner. It can be difficult to find but worth the trip. Service is efficient. Staff will help you if your unsure of the preparations. Food is very fresh and well cooked. Most tender chicken kabobs I have ever had!

This place gets pretty packed at lunch. A reservation is only way I go for lunch, at least call ahead. The food is good. Typical Persian kebabs and fare. I have eaten a lot of kebabs and found that the tzatziki sauce came with the order. But it didn't here. Had to ask for it. The rice is nice. Been... More

Although food is good, yet the restaurant staff weren't friendly to customers. Will never visit this place again.

The Kabab quality was perfect as well as chicken kabab. The only thing i did not like was that the portion of foods were to much. It is like sharing plate rather than individual. Apart from this, everything from food to staff were very good

It is our first time to be in DC. We have heard a lot good words about Shamshiri's and I should admit that they are all true. Very welcoming staff. Not a classy restaurant but very clean. The quality of the food was one of the best I have ever had among all Persian restaurants in US. The price is... More

Other genres of Middle Eastern cuisine share similarities with Persian cuisine, but authentic Persian food is unique. Rice prepared with a proper Tahdig (a crusty rice sliver which accompanies fluffy, flavorful rice) is well done. Kabobs, vegetables and other dishes grace the menu. This is a god place to order Carryout, because when the restaurant fills up, which is often,... More

Trying to kill some time between two appointments and we looked for nearby restaurants on trip advisor. Shamshiry popped up and we gave it a go. There were many Middle Eastern selections and were served with a huge mound of basmati rice. My kebab was excellent as was my spouses rice dish. You won't find this type of cuisine outside... More

In town for a conference. Wanted to try something different. Shamshiry was within walking distance of the hotel. So glad we picked this restaurant! Food was delicious and great atmosphere.
