Our family had dinner at Chima last evening. Some of the beef selections were tasty. The salad bar is very good. But the salmon was over-cooked and tasted fishy. We had children with us and the pricing of the children's meals was presented by our wait staff in a very confusing manner: "there is no children's menu, but children are... More

It was Restaurant Week in the Greater Washington (DC) area so we decided to take advantage of the special offer, namely: $22 for lunch and $35 for dinner, fixed price. Firstly it's worth noting that this restaurant looks new, although I've known about it for a few years. It's quite a large restaurant but very few seats available in the... More

We go here 3-4 times per year because while it is normally very good - but it is expensive. It is a one price for all, per person establishment, so if you're not a carnivore, skip it. The salad bar is lovely, soup is always good - but you can't order only the soup and salad bar. Shame. The staff... More

My family comes to eat here whenever we are celebrating something, because we love this place. I think all of the meats served are fantastic, especially the bacon wrapped chicken, and some of the meats even seem to melt in your mouth. The salad bar is also really good (I especially like the prosciutto and heart of palm). The ice... More

First of all, this is a expensive restaurant if you DON'T go hungry and willing to eat and try many things, however, if you like to eat, this is a good investment. The place offers you very good cuts of different types of meat, a great salad bar, and delicious Brazilian sides. Service is excellent, every waiter provides a great... More

Wow! Chima was much more than I'd expected. Having lived in the Atlanta, GA and Orlando, FL areas I've been to a couple excellent Brazilian Steakhouses. Chima raised the bar on those others. From the valet parking to the after dinner drinks and dessert my experience was wonderful. I was part of a four woman group, and we went to... More

Went to Chima's on a Tuesday Erving and it was not crowded so I was sat half an hour early from my Open Table reservation. First, this is Brazilian style. The food just keeps flowing! Ribs, steak, chicken, duck and sausage, and my favorite, filets. I did not partake of the ample salad bar as I am there for the... More

This is a stylish, calm version of a Brazilian steakhouse. The salad bar is extensive, with soup, rice and feijoada on the side. One can order steak salmon, etc. at dinner I believe the gauchos circulate with meat of all sorts and sizes on skewers. No room for dessert, but they have nice ones.

One of our favourite places to go for a special occasion, or even if you simply want to treat yourself. Almost all the features of a traditional Brazilian churrascaria are here. Great salad buffet (don't eat too much!), and fine selection of meats. Picanha was particularly good. No chicken hearts though... Friendly and knowledgeable sommelier was great. We'll be back...
