Saturday, September 12, 2020 Wished we had read the reviews😂, this was one very disappointing experience. Seating for social distancing was not practiced well (seats on both sides were too close). Noise level was too high, making it difficult for us to talk to one...another. Server was very friendly, yet slow. Food was over priced, served room temperature and nothing special. $7. for Lobster bisque soup-that was salty. $16. for 6 small, chewy oysters on the half shell (cheese very runny). The menu for entrées did not indicate anything additional would be included. Therefore we ordered 2 side salads. @ $5.50 ea. Dill egg or lemon Gorgonzola were the only available dressings. $38. for center cut fillet (no flavor) $27. for fried oysters (again very chewy) The waitress brought our side salads prior to the entrée, so we tried to make the salads last until the entrées arrived since we figured that would be the only side we were going to be having with our meat dish. However she followed the Entrées with two small dishes one of mashed potatoes and one of collard greens that were cooked in an apple cider vinaigrette , which was very tart. Not only did we not get a choice of a side, we were expected to share these two small servings.More

Excellent service, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere!! Chef has daily specials which are always a favorite of ours. Make reservations if possible as this is a very popular restaurant among the locals. Staff are very conscientious and ensure all tables & chairs are cleaned after every...customer. All tables are spaced to adhere to social distancing. All Customers must wear masks to enter & walk into this restaurant.More

If I could rate this 6/5, I would. My husband and I came here for a date and were blown away. We enjoyed wine, bread and butter, fabulous soups! I’ve never tried a better mushroom soup. As entrees, he ate a veal speciality dish and...I had scallops, they were both exceptional. We were full but still moved on to dessert, which was also fabulous. We have a lot of exercising to do to make up for what we indulged in here but it was well worth it. Our service was top notch, the icing on the cake! Our waitress was kind enough to go over local recommendations with us. What else can I say? This place is amazing.More

My wife and I are officially foodies. Eckhards is the best restaurant for miles around. Don and Robbie take exceptional personal pride in their food and service. You will not be disappointed. Fresh seafood specials are our go to’s but the menu items are also...great. Wiener schnitzel is my favorite menu item.More

The food was really good & you got a lot of it. Had a great atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly & attentive. I had the baked salmon, delicious. I thought it was a little pricey but it was good. I would probably go here again...for a special occasion.More

Excellent specialty foods with daily specials that are out of this world. Don, the chef, is a cut above the rest.

We went to this restaurant on a late evening after pulling into a local campground with some friends. It was thought to be a good meal with regional specialties in German and Italian dishes. I found the food average and overpriced. I had a German...dish that I found lacking in authenticity (I am from a German family) and my wife had steak. Both of us felt the quality of the food did not match the price charged. Over $100 for the meal.More

Got there as they opened thus the service was great. Had a great German beer prior to my ordering. I had crabcakes with mashed potatoes and a fresh salad.
