It was a beautiful, mild, sunny day in February in the Washington DC area and I have an affliction for locating establishments that claim to know about afternoon tea service. With that said, I am not referring to the Lipton tea bag dipped in a tepid bath of water and presented in styrofoam cup much resembling that of used dishwater;... More

I have had teas in Edinburg, Scotland; London, England and the Biltmore Estates. This tea room can compete with them, except for the view. Mattie was very warm and friendly; she made a nice Sunday afternoon tea fun. I'm not a scone fan, but you have to try the cinnamon pecan scone. Those were good!

I love this little antique store and tea room! I have brought many different guests and family members here, and they all want to return. You are brought a tray of teas to smell to decide which tea you would like to try. So fun to go through them! There are many varieties as well as the usual plain teas.... More

Met friends here for lunch/tea today and it was delightful. I did call for a reservation, and they called to confirm this a couple of days ago, which was greatly appreciated. The tea room is charming and we were seated by a lovely bay window. Three of us ordered the curried chicken salad, which was delicious. The accompanying fresh sugar... More

Crest Hill Antiques & Tea Room is a very charming weekend brunch/lunch destination. We were told the place is usually stocked with various antiques and charms but during our visit they were hosting a week long book fair. They had various books on display and local authors had small tables set up. It was very nice to look around and... More

The signs inside ask that you make reservations and due to limited seating, I can understand why. However, we didn't have reservations and were the only customers that afternoon. They have a quaint and comfortable tea room. We were presented with small samples of each of the tea choices, so you could smell them as well as read their descriptions.... More

My girlfriend and I originally met over "tea" so, I wanted to do something special with her to celebrate our first meeting. Enter the Crest Hill Antiques & Tea Room. "Afternoon Tea", "Formal Tea", whatever you'd like to call it...these folks nailed it. Service and staff were excellent: attentive yet unobtrusive. The food was divine. Not only was the food... As you tell from reading my reviews I like "Tea Time." I consider myself a bit of an expert on the local Tea Houses as I have been to several. As my sister said, "How do they just keep getting better?" Sally and her staff prepared three individual menues for us! My mother and I shared a lovely "Traditional Afternoon... More
